Edgar Nathaniel Sarratt III [3] (born June 5, 2003), known professionally as Midwxst (stylized as midwxst), is an American rapper and singer from Indianapolis, Indiana. He is signed to Geffen Records. He released several extended plays between 2020 and 2022, and his debut album E3 released on September 1, 2023

Early life

Sarratt was born in Columbia, South Carolina. His father works in the Air Force, and his mother works as a human resources executive. He has one sister and he was diagnosed with ADHD when he was young. He attended Park Tudor School for High School. [1]

Musical style and influences

Sarratt's musical style has been described as hyperpop. [4] [5] He grew up listening to Kanye West, TLC, Aaliyah, and Beyoncé from his mother, while his father listened to hip hop. Sarratt cites Tyler, the Creator, Frank Ocean, Spitalfield, KT Tunstall, XXXTentacion, Porter Robinson, and Pi'erre Bourne as music influences.

David Wallace III, known professionally as Kashdami, is an American rapper from Prince George's County, Maryland. He initially rose to popularity in 2020 with his song "Kappin Up", this was assisted due to the song's associated music-video from WorldStar. In 2021 he regained popularity on video platform TikTok with his songs "Reparations", "Look N The Mirror", and "14" which featured rapper tana. These songs lead to heavy amounts of traction and growth on Kashdami's SoundCloud and TikTok accounts. He released his first major label mixtape Epiphany in June 2021
