The South Sudan Ministry of Health is a national ministry in the current Revitalised Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU) in the Republic of South Sudan.

This national ministry in the current Government of South Sudan was formed immediately after the country gained her Independence in 2011. The incumbent minister is Yolanda Wel Deng [1] as for the year 2023.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">South Sudan</span> Country in East Africa

South Sudan, officially the Republic of South Sudan, is a landlocked country in eastern Central Africa. It is bordered by Ethiopia, Sudan, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, and Kenya. It includes the vast swamp region of the Sudd, formed by the White Nile and known locally as the Bahr al Jabal, meaning "Mountain Sea". Its population was estimated at 11,088,796 in 2023. Juba is the capital and largest city.

The post conflict South Sudan has huge challenges in delivering health care to the population. The challenges include: crippled health infrastructures, nearly collapsed public health system, and inadequate qualified health professionals. The country is far from achieving the MDGs by end of 2015. The health system needs a major resuscitation, in addition to supporting and developing health training institutions.

The Ministry of Interior is a ministry of the Government of South Sudan. The incumbent minister is Gen. Aleu Ayieny Aleu

The Ministry of Roads and Bridges is a ministry of the Government of South Sudan. The incumbent minister is Gier Chuang Aluong, while Simon Majok Majak serves as deputy minister.

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry is a Government of South Sudan institution. The incumbent minister is Mrs. Josephine NAPWON, while Mr.Joseph Africano Bartel serves as the Under Secretary. The Ministry of Environment and Forestry is legally ordered with the Protection and preservation of lands and all the environment. Also to ensure sustainable utilization of the environmental resource base geared towards meeting the needs of both the contemporary and the future generations.

The Ministry of Petroleum is a ministry of the Government of South Sudan. The incumbent minister is Puot Kang Chol., the ministry of petroleum contributes more than 90% of the south Sudan total income through oil production and exportation to different countries through north Sudan pipe line from the oil fields in South Sudan to the Port Sudan in Red Sea. the government of Sudan is heavily taxing South Sudan for using the pipe line, and with the recent declined in the oil prices in the international market, this declined in the oil prices has really affected the economy of the country. In June 2021, the ministry launched its first Oil licensing round in Juba. According to new studies assigned by the ministry, approximately 90% of the country's Oil and gas reserves remain unexplored.

The Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries is now the called the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries in the newly formed government of national unity. This ministry was renamed following the formation of Transitional Government of national Unity in 2020. The ministry livestock and fisheries is now the national ministry of the Government of South Sudan. The incumbent minister is Onyeti Adigo Nyikech as per 2022.
