The Uganda Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities (MTWA) is the cabinet-level ministry responsible for the promotion of tourism, the preservation and welfare of wildlife, and the preservation, improvement and safekeeping of natural and other national historic sites and monuments. [1]

Location

The headquarters of the ministry are located on the 2nd Floor, Rwenzori Towers at 6 Nakasero Road, in the Central Division, of Kampala, the capital and largest city of Uganda. [1] The coordinates of the headquarters are 0°19'02.0"N, 32°34'47.0"E (Latitude:0.317223; Longitude:32.579723). [2]

Janat Balunzi Mukwaya is a politician and former Major in the military of Uganda. Currently she is a Senior Presidential Advisor Before that, she previously served as the Minister for General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister from 16 February 2009 until 27 May 2011. the Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Affairs from 6 June 2016 until December 2019. Minister of Trade and Industry from June 2006 until February 2009. In May 2011, she temporarily retired from politics and was replaced in the cabinet by Kiddu Makubuya. She also served as the elected member of Parliament for Mukono South Constituency in Mukono District, from 2006 until her retirement in 2011.

Maria Emily Lubega Mutagamba was a Ugandan economist and politician. She was the minister of tourism, wildlife and antiquities in the Ugandan Cabinet from 15 August 2012 until 6 June 2016.

Ephraim Kamuntu is a Ugandan management scientist and politician. He is the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs in the Cabinet of Uganda. He was appointed to that position on 14 December 2019. Previously he served as Minister of Water and Environment from August 2012 to June 2016. He is also an ex-officio Member of the Parliament of Uganda because of his Cabinet position.

Matia Kasaija is a Ugandan politician. He is the current Minister of Finance in Uganda's Cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 1 March 2015, replacing Maria Kiwanuka, who was appointed to Senior Presidential Advisor for Finance. From 27 May 2011 until 28 February 2015, he served as the State Minister for Finance (Planning) in the Cabinet of Uganda. He replaced Ephraim Kamuntu, who was promoted to Minister of Tourism. Before that, he served as the State Minister for Internal Affairs, from 1 June 2006 until May 2011. He is also the elected Member of Parliament for "Buyanja County", Kibaale District.

Adolf Kasaija Mwesige is a Ugandan lawyer and politician who served as Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs in the Cabinet of Uganda from 6 June 2016 to 8 June 2021. He previously served as Minister of Local Government from 18 February 2009 to 6 June 2016. He has also been the elected Member of Parliament for Bunyangabu County, Kabarole District, since 1996. In July 2017, Bunyangabu County was peeled off Kabarole District to form Bunyangabu District.

Wilson Muruli Mukasa is a Ugandan politician. He has been Cabinet Minister of Public Service in the Ugandan Cabinet since 6 June 2016. He has previously served as Cabinent Minister of Gender and Social Issues from 1 March 2015, until 6 June 2016. Previously he served as Minister of Security from 27 May 2011 until 1 March 2015. Muruli Mukasa also serves as the Member of Parliament for Budyebo County in Nakasongola District.
