Antigone Costanda is an Egyptian designer, model and beauty queen who won Miss World 1954. The pageant took place on October 18, 1954, in London, England, with the participation of 16 contestants. In addition to Arabic, Costanda speaks Greek, English, Italian and French fluently. The Greek-Egyptian beauty was the first Miss Egypt candidate to win the title of Miss World for Egypt.
Denise Perrier is a French actress, former model and beauty queen who won Miss World 1953. She now goes by "Denise Perrier Lanfranchi." She is still the only French woman to have won the Miss World title.
Myshimarina (Marina) Papaelia was the first runner-up of Miss Egypt 1953. Papelia was sent to represent Egypt at Miss World 1953 when the winner, Antigone Costanda was unable to participate in the pageant. Papaelia finished at third place.
Miss World 1999, the 49th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 4 December 1999 at the Olympia Hall in London, United Kingdom. The pageant was hosted by Ulrika Jonsson and model Melanie Sykes. The 1999 pageant attracted 94 delegates from all over the world. The 1999 pageant also marked the first time that Scotland and Wales fielded their respective delegates. At the end of the event, 20-year-old Miss India Yukta Mookhey went on to win the Miss World 1999 crown. The preliminary swimsuit competition was held in Malta. She was crowned by her predecessor Linor Abargil of Israel. Protesters gathered outside the event, decrying it as a "sexist cattle market".

She was crowned by Miss World 1970, Jennifer Hosten of Grenada. Although Petterle completed her reign as Miss World, she fell and broke her arm in the final month of her year and was unable to travel to London to participate in the Miss World 1972 contest.

Eunice Gayson crowned Susana Duijm of Venezuela as the new Miss World. The previous year's Miss World, Antigone Costanda of Egypt, did not attend because of hostilities between Egypt and United Kingdom over Suez Canal. That was the first time Venezuela won the title of Miss World. This was the first time that a winner had been crowned with the crown on her head. Duijm also placed Top 15 in Miss Universe 1955.

Miss World 2010, the 60th anniversary of the Miss World pageant, was held on 30 October 2010 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China after Vietnam backed out of the hosting contract. 115 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Kaiane Aldorino of Gibraltar crowned her successor Alexandria Mills of the United States at end of the event.

Miss Europe 1992 was the 47th edition of the Miss Europe pageant and the 36th edition under the Mondial Events Organization. It was held in Athens, Greece on June 15, 1992. Marina Tsintikidou of Greece, was crowned Miss Europe 1992 by out going titleholder Katerina Michalopoulou of Greece.
Miss Europe 1954 was the 17th edition of the Miss Europe pageant and the sixth edition under the Mondial Events Organization. It was held in Vichy, France, on June 20, 1954. Christel Schaack of Germany, was originally crowned Miss Europe 1954, by outgoing titleholder Eloisa Cianni of Italy. However, it was later revealed that Schaack was a widow and thus she was disqualified from Miss Europe and stripped of her crown. The crown then went to the 1st runner-up Danièle Génault of France. Despite being a widow, Schaack was allowed to keep her national Miss Germany title as the requirements for Miss Germany at the time only stated that single unmarried women can participate with no ban on widows or women with annulled marriages. The jury for this years pageant, in response, gave her the title of "Honorary Miss Europe", even though Danièle Génault of France was awarded the official crown and title. The Mondial Events Organization/Miss Europe Organization continued to list Schaack as the official winner on their website until the site was shut down in 2006.
