Mister World 2014 was the 8th edition of the Mister World competition. It was held at The Riviera International Conference Centre in Torbay, Devon, England on June 15, 2014. Francisco Javier Escobar Parra of Colombia crowned Nicklas Pedersen of Denmark at the end of the event. [1]

Miss World 2001, the 51st edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 16 November 2001 at the Super Bowl of Sun City Entertainment Centre in Sun City, South Africa. 93 contestants from all over the world competed for the title. Priyanka Chopra of India crowned her successor Agbani Darego of Nigeria at the end of the event. This is the first time Nigeria won the title of Miss World.
Miss World 1999, the 49th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 4 December 1999 at the Olympia Hall in London, United Kingdom. The pageant was hosted by Ulrika Jonsson and model Melanie Sykes. The 1999 pageant attracted 94 delegates from all over the world. The 1999 pageant also marked the first time that Scotland and Wales fielded their respective delegates. At the end of the event, 20-year-old Miss India Yukta Mookhey went on to win the Miss World 1999 crown. The preliminary swimsuit competition was held in Malta. She was crowned by her predecessor Linor Abargil of Israel. Protesters gathered outside the event, decrying it as a "sexist cattle market".
The 2011 Special Olympics World Summer Games, was a sporting event in Athens, Greece. The opening ceremony of the games took place on 25 June 2011 at the Panathenaic Stadium and the closing ceremony was held on 4 July 2011.
Mister World 2010 was the 6th edition of the Mister World competition. It was held at Songdo Convensia in Incheon, South Korea on March 27, 2010. 74 delegates competed from all around the world. Juan García Postigo of Spain crowned Kamal Ibrahim of Ireland at the end of the event.

The 2014 World Junior Championships in Athletics was an international athletics competition for athletes qualifying as juniors which was held at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, USA, on 22–27 July 2014. A total of 44 athletics events were contested at the championships, 22 by male and 22 by female athletes. A total of 1546 athletes from 175 countries were participate.

Mister World 2019 was the tenth edition of the Mister World competition. It was held on 23 August 2019 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Rohit Khandelwal of India crowned Jack Heslewood of England as his successor at the end of the event.
The 2018 World Karate Championships were the 24th edition of the World Karate Championships, and were held in Madrid, Spain from November 6 to November 11, 2018.
The 7th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, was held in Budapest, Hungary at the Danube Arena from 20 to 25 August 2019. The championships were for girls aged 14–17 and boys age 15–18.
