Ontario College of Art & Design University, commonly known as OCAD University, is a public university of art and design located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The main campus is adjacent to the Art Gallery of Ontario, within the Grange Park neighbourhood. The school is Canada's largest and oldest educational institution for art and design. OCAD U offers courses through the Faculties of Art, Design, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and alternative programs. Academia Sinica, headquartered in Nangang, Taipei, is the national academy of Taiwan. The current president since 2016 is James C. Liao, an expert in metabolic engineering, systems biology and synthetic biology.

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada is the major federal agency responsible for funding natural sciences and engineering research in Canada. NSERC directly funds university professors and students as well as Canadian companies to perform research and training. With funding from the Government of Canada, NSERC supports the research of over 41,000 students, trainees and professors at universities and colleges in Canada with an annual budget of CA$1.1 billion in 2015. John Mighton, OC is a Canadian mathematician, author, and playwright. He founded JUMP Math, a charitable organization that works to educate students in mathematics, in 2001. Mighton was born in Hamilton, Ontario on October 2, 1957 and lives in Toronto, Ontario with partner Pamela Sinha and daughter Chloe.
The Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences is an interdisciplinary research unit and graduate program at The University of Texas at Austin dedicated to advancing computational science and engineering through a variety of programs and research centers. The Institute currently supports 16 research centers, seven research groups and maintains the Computational Sciences, Engineering and Mathematics Program, a graduate degree program leading to the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computational Science, Engineering and Mathematics. The interdisciplinary programs underway at the Oden Institute involve 123 faculty representing 23 academic departments and five schools and colleges. Oden Institute faculty hold positions in the Cockrell School of Engineering, College of Natural Sciences, Jackson School of Geosciences, Dell Medical School and McCombs School of Business. The Institute also supports the Peter O'Donnell, Jr. Postdoctoral Fellowship program and a program for visiting scholars through the J. Tinsley Oden Faculty Fellowship Research Fund. Organizationally, the Oden Institute reports to the Vice President for Research.

Microsoft Innovation Centers (MICs) are local government organizations, universities, industry organizations, or software or hardware vendors who partner with Microsoft with a common goal to foster the growth of local software economies. These are state of the art technology facilities which are open to students, developers, IT professionals, entrepreneurs, startups and academic researchers. While each Center tunes its programs to local needs, they all provide similar content and services designed to accelerate technology advances and stimulate local software economies through skills and professional training, industry partnerships and innovation. As of 10 September 2010, there are 115 Microsoft Innovation Centers worldwide, most of which are open to the public. Recently it was reported that Microsoft had proposed to build about 100 innovation centers in India, and several in China. Some innovation centers have also started to develop in Pakistan.
The University of Toronto School of Public Policy and Governance (SPPG) was a public policy and public administration school located in Toronto, Ontario. On April 6, 2018, the University of Toronto announced that the School of Public Policy and Governance and the Munk School of Global Affairs would merge to become the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy. The merger took effect on July 1, 2018. The Master of Public Policy programme and many public policy scholars remain headquartered in the Canadiana Gallery at 14 Queen's Park Crescent West.

Jianhong Wu is a Canadian applied mathematician and the founding Director of the Laboratory for Industrial and Applied Mathematics at York University. He holds the life-time title of University Distinguished Research Professor, and has been a senior Canada Research Chair in Industrial and Applied Mathematics at York University since 2001. In 2017, he was awarded the NSERC/Sanofi Industrial Research Chair in Vaccine Mathematics, Modelling and Manufacturing.
York Entrepreneurship Development Institute (YEDI) is a venture fund, startup accelerator, incubator and entrepreneurial community located within York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. YEDI facilitates collaboration between students, alumni, and academic and business leaders. The organization was founded in 2013 by businessman Dr. Marat Ressin, a native of Russia with close ties to the Jewish community in Canada. The main educational facilities of YEDI are located inside the Schulich School of Business complex at York University's Keele campus.
