Arnon Yasha Yves Grunberg is a Dutch writer of novels, essays, and columns, as well as a journalist. He published some of his work under the heteronym Marek van der Jagt. He lives in New York. His work has been translated into 30 languages. In 2022 he received the PC Hooftprijs, a Dutch literary lifetime achievement award. His most acclaimed and successful novels are Blue Mondays and Tirza. The New York Times called the latter ‘grimly comic and unflinching (…) while not always enjoyable, it is never less than enthralling’. Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung described him as ‘the Dutch Philip Roth’.
Renette Pauline Soutendijk, known professionally as Renée Soutendijk, is a Dutch actress. A gymnast in her youth, Soutendijk began her acting career in the late 1970s. She was a favorite star of director Paul Verhoeven's films, and is perhaps best known for her work in his 1980 release Spetters and 1983's The Fourth Man. Her good looks and striking blond hair secured her status as a Dutch sex symbol in the 1980s.

She is called the mother of the Dutch theatrical song, and the queen of Dutch children's literature, praised for her "delicious Dutch idiom," and considered one of the greatest Dutch writers. An ultimate honour was extended to her posthumously, in 2007, when a group of Dutch historians compiled the "Canon of the Netherlands" and included Schmidt, alongside national icons such as Vincent van Gogh and Anne Frank.

Eekman participated in different group expositions, with the biggest and most recent being UU&ME in the spacious W139 at the Warmoesstraat, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands together with 5 other young artists; initiator Sue van Geijn and, Emile Hermans, Iris Schutgevaar, Diedrik Sibma and Roos Wijma.
Ine Gevers is a Dutch curator of contemporary art, writer and activist. Gevers is known for large themed exhibitions in which she explores the relationships between technology, power and identity. She has been called one of The Netherlands' most radical curators.

The film was released in Dutch cinemas in October 2021 and got a worldwide release on Netflix in February 2022. The film has a role for non-binary actor Thorn Roos de Vries making them the first non-binary actor with a major role in a Dutch film. De Volkskrant gave the film 3 out of 5 stars, saying it felt more like a long television episode than a film. The film played at the 2022 Netherlands Film Festival.
