Mohammed Khalaf Al Habtoor (born September 30, 1966) is the son of a business magnate, investor and the vice-chairman and CEO of the Al Habtoor Group, [1] an Emirati conglomerate. [2] [3] He was born into one of the largest business families of Dubai. [4] [5]

Biography

Al Habtoor was born on September 30, 1968, in Dubai to the business tycoon, Khalaf Al Habtoor, the founder of The Al Habtoor Group and the third wealthiest man (according to net worth) in United Arab Emirates. After completing his schooling in Dubai Al Ittihad Private School, Al Mamzar he went to the United States for higher studies. He earned a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management at the ATI Career Institute and certifications in varied business disciplines at University of Surrey, University of Slough and the Cornell University. He is CEO and vice chairman of Al Habtoor Group LLC. [6] Through the Al Habtoor Group, in 2010 he was developing a number of themed developments in Dubai, [7] including Al Habtoor City, [8] Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, [9] Al Habtoor Business Tower, and Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah. [10] [11] He has been involved with Habtoor Hotels, Al Habtoor Real Estate, Al Habtoor Publishing, Emirates International Schools, Diamondlease and Al Habtoor Motors. [12] [13]

He has played polo professionally in international tournaments for the Habtoor Polo team. [14] He founded the Dubai Polo Gold Cup in 2009, the highest handicap international polo tournament in the Middle East. [15] Six years later, the Dubai Polo Gold Cup emerged as the biggest tournament in the Middle East. [16]

He is a member of the Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Foundation (KAHF), founded by his father. [17]

Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, announced that the UAE's non-oil trade over 10 years totalled Dhs16.14 trillion. The UAE GDP jumping from $407 billion in 2021 to $440 billion in 2022 and $467 billion in 2023. Similarly, per capita GDP will also expand from $43,868 in 2021 to $46,665 in 2022 and $48,822 in 2023.

The Dubai government took a decision to diversify from a trade-based, oil-reliant economy to one that is service and tourism-oriented. There are a number of large-scale projects which are currently under construction or are to be constructed in the future. Due to the burst of construction, Dubai has acquired various building-related records, which include: the world's tallest tower, the world's largest shopping mall, the world's largest fountain and the world's tallest hotel. Also under construction is Dubailand, which will be almost twice the size of the Walt Disney World Resort.

Motivate Media Group is a media company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was founded in 1979 by Ian Fairservice, and today has offices in Abu Dhabi Saudi, and London. It is operated in partnership between Ian Fairservice and Obaid Al Tayer, who is the chairman of the Al Tayer Group and the UAE’s former Minister of State for Finance.

The Dubai Tram is a tramway located in Al Sufouh, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It runs for 14.5 kilometers (9.0 mi) along Al Sufouh Road from Dubai Marina to the Palm Jumeirah and Al Sufouh. The tram connects with the DMCC and Sobha Realty stations of the Dubai Metro's Red Line, and two more stations are expected to connect with the tram in the future. The Dubai Tram is also connected with the monorail of the Palm Jumeirah at the entrance of the Palm from Sufouh Road.

The Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque is a mosque located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
