Monika Helfer

Monika Helfer (born October 18, 1947, in Au) is an Austrian writer. She was invested with the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art in 2016. She was the recipient of the Solothurner Literaturpreis in 2020, and the Schubart-Literaturpreis in 2021. She has been nominated twice for the German Book Prize in 2017 and 2021. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Bodensee-Literaturpreis is a literary prize awarded in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The city of Überlingen has been awarding the Lake Constance Literature Prize since 1954. The foundation of this municipal literature prize goes back to an initiative of the Baltic writer Eugen Assmann (1902–1979). The prize is to be awarded to an author for a special literary achievement within the literature of the entire Lake Constance area. The prize is endowed with 5,000 euros.

The Aspekte-Literaturpreis is awarded annually for the best debut novel written in German, as judged by a panel of writers, critics, and scholars. The prize is sponsored by the ZDF television network through its arts program, Aspekte. It is valued at 10,000 Euros. Past recipients include Georg Büchner Prize-winner Felicitas Hoppe and Nobel Prize-winner Herta Müller. The award was established in 1979.

Eichendorff-Literaturpreis is a literary prize of Germany. It was first awarded in 1956 and was created in honour of Joseph Freiherr von Eichendorff. The prize, endowed with 5,000 euros, has been awarded annually by the Wangener Kreis – Society for Literature and Art of the East. The award goes to writers who are closely related to Silesian culture.

The Schubart-Literaturpreis is a Germany literary prize donated by the city of Aalen since 1956 in honor of the 18th-century poet Christian Friedrich Daniel Schubart. It is one of the oldest literary awards of Baden-Württemberg.

Additionally the laureate receives the right to live in the town clerk's domicile in the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz for one year. Together with ZDF, the recipient is able to produce a documentary based on a free choice of topic.
