Museum of Folk Architecture and Life is an open-air museum located in Uzhhorod, Ukraine. It features over 30 traditional structures collected from villages across Zakarpattia Oblast, the Ukrainian province of which Uzhhorod is the capital. According to Michael Benanav of The New York Times, "the museum's centerpiece is 16th-century St. Michael's Church, with a roof and onion-domed steeple covered in wooden shingles." [1]
Uzhhorod Castle, located nearby, is an imposing fortress that housed the regents of the Habsburgs.

Hollókő is a village in northern Hungary, located in Nógrád County. The village, which was constructed in the 13th century and developed in the 18th and 19th centuries, is a well-preserved ethnographic village of the Palóc people, with traditional wooden architecture and layout of buildings, farms, and orchards. Because of its exceptional preservation and testimony to rural life before the arrival of modern farming practices, the village was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Its name means "Raven-stone" in Hungarian.
Chop is a city located in Zakarpattia Oblast (province) of western Ukraine, near the borders of Slovakia and Hungary. It is separated from the Hungarian town of Záhony by the river Tisza by being situated on its right bank. Located inside Uzhhorod Raion, since 2003 it is designated as a city of oblast significance – not included in any raion (district) of the oblast. Today, the population is 8,626.

The Seven Wonders of Ukraine are seven historical and cultural monuments of Ukraine, which were chosen in the Seven Wonders of Ukraine contest held in July, 2007. This was the first public contest of that kind which was followed by the Seven Natural Wonders of Ukraine, the Seven Wonderful Routes of Ukraine, and the Seven Wonderful Castles of Ukraine. The very name of Uzhhorod/Ungvár refers to the castle, translating as "the Uzh castle".

Mynai is a village in the Uzhhorod Raion, Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine. The village has a population of 3,088. The village is adjacent to the city of Uzhhorod. Mynai is the second biggest village in the raion. The village is de jure a village, but is de facto a well urbanized place. It is separated from Uzhhorod by Mozhaiskoho Street. In close vicinity is a border with Slovakia and the European Union.
