N. T. R. Arts is an Indian film production company in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Established by actor Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, it is named after his grandfather Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

History

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram established the production house with the name of his grandfather, actor, and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, known as 'NTR'. [1] The production house has introduced directors such as Surender Reddy, Anil Ravipudi, and Mallidi Vassishta to Tollywood. [2] Former film producer and politician, Nandamuri Janaki Ram, elder son of Nandamuri Harikrishna, was also a part of the banner until he died in a car accident, on December 6, 2014. [3]

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, often referred to by his initials NTR, was an Indian actor, filmmaker and politician who served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years over three terms. Yalamanchili Venkata Satyanarayana Chowdary is an Indian Telugu cinema writer, director, producer, distributor, exhibitor and a music company owner. He made his debut as a director in 1998 with the film Sri Sita Ramula Kalyanam Chootamu Raarandi produced by Nagarjuna under the banner "Great India Entertainments". He then directed Seetharama Raju starring Nagarjuna and Nandamuri Harikrishna, and Yuvaraju starring Mahesh Babu. Nandamuri Taraka Ratna was an Indian actor who worked in Telugu cinema. After his debut in Okato Number Kurraadu (2003), he acted in several films as the lead actor and a few as the antagonist. He was a member of the Nandamuri family which is influential in Telugu cinema and politics. Taraka Ratna was also an aspiring politician from the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, rooting for the Telugu Desam Party. He died on 18 February 2023 at the age of 39 at Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences, following severe health complications.

N. Trivikrama Rao was an Indian film producer, director and screenwriter in Telugu cinema. He was the younger brother of N. T. Rama Rao and the co-owner of National Art Theatre, Madras, a production house under which he has co-produced 40 feature films alongside N. T. Rama Rao. NTR: Mahanayakudu is a 2019 Indian Telugu-language biographical film, based on the real life and political career of N. T. It starred Nandamuri Kalyan Ram in a dual role alongside, Catherine Tresa, Samyuktha Menon, Vivan Bhatena and Prakash Raj. In the film, King Bimbisara of the Trigarta Kingdom from the 5th century BC lands in the modern-day world through time travel.

Nandamuri Mohana Krishna is an Indian cinematographer known for his works in Telugu cinema. He made his breakthrough as a film cinematographer with his father N. T. Rama Rao's Chanda Sasanudu (1983), which was also remade in Tamil as Sarithira Nayagan (1984) for which Mohana was also the cinematographer. Subsequently, he has continued to collaborate with his father on other projects.
