Naeem Rahim (born January 1, 1976) is an American nephrologist [1] and founder of Idaho based JRM foundation For humanity [2] & Co-founder of Idaho Kidney Institute. [3] He was one of the First Idahoans to receive the Ellis Island Medals of Honor in the last 25 years. [4]
Naeem Rahim a Pakistani American was born in Peshawar, Pakistan as his father Mohammad Rahim was an Army officer [5] and mother was a nurse in the Army. He went to Habib public school Karachi for matriculation and went to Aga Khan medical college for medicine graduated in 1998. He is fluent in English, Urdu and Punjabi. [6]
Naeem & his brother Fahim Rahim [7] trained from New York Medical College in internal medicine and later nephrology. They chose to move to a small town in Idaho to provide better health care to the much needed rural America. Naeem Rahim and Fahim Rahim both received Ellis Island Medals of Honor in 2010 and subsequently multiple congressional records [8] in recognition of their services to the state of Idaho. [9] Naeem was one of the first Idahoans to receive the Ellis Island Medals of Honor. They decided to honor the people of Idaho and started JRM foundation For humanity. [10] Fahim Rahim & Naeem also started Idaho hometown heroes Medal [11] which identifies and celebrates individuals who serve their communities in Idaho. Naeem was showcased as success stories of Pakistanis on a TV show called Reema Ka Amreeka hosted by famous Pakistani actress Reema Khan.

The Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation (SIUT) is a dialysis & kidney transplant centre located in Pakistan. SIUT was founded by Dr. Adibul Hasan Rizvi and it is Pakistan's largest kidney disease center, as well as Pakistan's largest public sector health organisation. It began as a department of urology at the government-run Civil Hospital in 1970 and became autonomous in 1991. Ten to twelve transplants are performed weekly, and in 2003, doctors at SIUT performed Pakistan's first liver transplant. In 2004, a child care unit was opened.

Since 2008, he has been an attending transplant surgeon at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where he performs kidney transplants and mentors senior-level students and residents in surgical sciences and global health. Since 2005, he has been a Commissioner at the Montgomery County Office of Human Rights, Maryland. He also serves as Commissioner for the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism in Maryland. Jindal is also an adjunct Professor of Global Health at the Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar.
