Namak Haram is a 2023-24 Pakistani thriller drama television series directed by Shaqielle Khan and produced by Farhan Qaiser and Momina Duraid. [2] It stars Imran Ashraf and Sarah Khan [3] as lead in their second on-screen appearance, with Babar Ali and Sunita Marshall in supporting roles. [4]

Premise

Namak Haram revolves around Mureed, the main character, who gets caught up in a plot against the powerful Qureshi family. Amin Qureshi's quest for power goes too far, affecting both locals and servants. Driven by a grudge, Mureed is determined to right past wrongs. The story unfolds with loyalty and rising tension, showing Mureed's journey after a life-changing tragedy. The drama explores family dynamics, revealing hidden truths that cause resentment. Past and present events collide, creating a tale of loyalty tested by growing bitterness.

The series marked the second collaboration of Khan and Ashraf after Raqs-e-Bismil . In July, it confirmed that the couple will appear in a Hum TV's production. [8] The teasers of the series were released in mid October. [9] [10] The first episode broadcast on 3 November 2023 on Hum TV.[ citation needed ]
