Narahenpita is a municipal ward of Colombo. Located at the South-Eastern corner and served by the Kelani Valley Railway Line, many government institutions including the National Blood Bank, the Survey Department, the Labor Ministry and several departments of the Health Ministry are situated in the area as well as several major private hospitals in the country.

Faculty of Medicine is one of the nine faculties in University of Peradeniya. It is considered to be one of the leading medical faculties in Sri Lanka which requires the highest entry qualification in GCE Advanced Level examination. It is the second faculty of Medicine in Sri Lanka.

Hospitals in Thailand are operated by both the public and private sector, to provide medical services for prevention, cure and rehabilitation of patients with medical and health-related conditions. The majority are operated by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH). Private hospitals are regulated by the Medical Registration Division under the MOPH's Department of Health Service Support following the Sanatorium Act, B.E. 2541. Stavanger Heliport, University Hospital is a heliport situated on the premises of Stavanger University Hospital in the Våland neighborhood of the city of Stavanger in the municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. Used exclusively for air ambulance services, it is home to a Eurocopter EC-135P2+ operated by Norsk Luftambulanse (NLA) on contract with the National Air Ambulance Service.
