National High School Debate League of China

The National High School Debate League of China, or simply NHSDLC, is an English-language high school debate league serving Mainland China. It uses the Public Forum debate format.[ citation needed ] Each year, the NHSDLC sees around 50,000 students participate in its debate workshops [1] and around 12,000 students participate in its regional or national tournaments that it hosts in more than 33 cities in China. [2] [3] [4] [5] According to The Economist, many students believe participating will help their application to a Western university. [6]

It was founded in 2012, [7] and it hosted one of China's first ever English-language high school national debate tournaments for local students at Peking University [8] in May 2013. Each year, its national debate championship hosted in Beijing attracts 450 students from around China. [1] NHSDLC is partnered with Harvard College Mentors for Urban Debate, [9] Penn for Youth Debate, the Princeton Debate Panel, the Chicago Debate Society, [10] the Yale Debate Association, [11] Sunrise International Education, and the Stanford Youth Debate Initiative.

Renmin University of China

Renmin University of China, often referred to as RUC, or colloquially Renda, is a research university located in Haidian District of Beijing. RUC is classified as a Class A university under the Double First Class University Plan and is generally considered one of the premier universities in the country. It is also funded by Project 985 and by Project 211. RUC is entitled 25 national key disciplines, ranks No.5 of China, 13 national key research bases of humanities and social sciences, ranks No.1 of China, and 6 national teaching and research bases of fundamental arts disciplines, ranks No.1 of China. RUC is often ranked among the top 100-200 band globally in "arts and humanities'' and "social sciences" subjects according to the most cited world university rankings.

Beijing Institute of Technology Football Club or simply BIT is a professional Chinese football club that currently participates in the China League Two division under licence from the Chinese Football Association (CFA). The team is based in Haidian, Beijing and their home stadium is the 5,000 capacity BIT Eastern Athletic Field. Their current majority shareholders are Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and Joan Oliver who acquired a 29 percent stake on December 5, 2016.

Higher education in China is the largest in the world. By May 2017, there were 2,914 colleges and universities, with over 20 million students enrolled in mainland China. The system includes Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees, as well as non-degree programs, and is also open to foreign students.

Shenyang Dongjin Football Club was a Chinese football club based in Shenyang, Liaoning and their home stadium is the Shenyang Urban Construction University Stadium that has a seating capacity of 12,000.

Dalian No. 24 High School is a public high school in Dalian, Liaoning province, China. It has a great reputation around Northeastern China and is highly ranked among all high schools in China. It was known as the "Small Tsinghua in Northeastern China". It has a reputation for encouraging students to develop leadership skills and having a less pressing studying environment. The school is also keenly supported by the Dalian Municipal Education Bureau.

Hu Zhuangyou, was a Chinese chemist, educator and former President of Zhejiang University.

No.1 High School Affiliated to East China Normal University moved to a new campus in August 2005. Each year, many graduates attend Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, East China Normal University and other prestigious universities.

The Chinese university ranking is a ranking of universities in mainland China by Netbig, an internet company focused on higher education, founded by Jiang Jining, who graduated from University of Science and Technology of China. The ranking is conducted annually since 1999, and is generally released in July, around the time of college entrance examination. This ranking, however, has ceased to publish newer versions since 2013.

Suzhou High School school in China

Suzhou High School, officially the Suzhou High School of Jiangsu Province, is a Chinese public high school of one-millennium rich history, located in Suzhou, Jiangsu. In AD 1035, the Northern Song politician and writer Fan Zhongyan founded the predecessor of Suzhou High school, Suzhou Prefecture School (苏州府学).

Shanghai Jiao Tong University university in Shanghai, China

Shanghai Jiao Tong University is a major research university in Shanghai. Established on April 8, 1896, as Nanyang Public School by an imperial edict issued by the Guangxu Emperor, it is one China's oldest universities. Shanghai Jiao Tong University is a C9 League university and a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University.

Dai Yi is a Chinese historian who primarily focuses on the Qing dynasty's history. He is a professor at Renmin University of China. He is also the honorary director of the university's Qing dynasty's history institute as well as a doctoral student supervisor. Additionally, he is a member of the Communist Party of China.

Sunrise International Education is a social enterprise that focuses on experiential education and extracurricular learning based in China and in the United States and also serves as a boutique media and events company serving universities with marketing and localization services in China. It was founded in 2011 by Gavin Newton-Tanzer and David Weeks.

Liu Xiao is a female Chinese track and field athlete who competes in the long jump. She represented China at the international 2007 Summer Universiade, 2009 Summer Universiade, and 2011 Summer Universiade. She also represented Peking University for 2011 Nike FUSC Chinese College Students Track and Field Elite Tournament and 2011 Beijing College Students Track and Field Games. She was 3rd place of Women's long jump of Chinese Athletics Championships, 2011. Part of her performance can be found at IAAF.

Qin Hanzhang was a Chinese engineer, scientist and supercentenarian. He was a pioneer in the field of food science and industrial fermentation and contributed to food industry development in China through nearly 8 decades of work in food science technology. He was also a scholar in the wine industry.

Huang Zhen is a Chinese engineer and currently vice-president of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and serves as vice-president of the China Association for Promoting Democracy.
