Necarne Castle, also known as Castle Irvine, is a Victorian gothic house near Irvinestown in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

The two-storey façade was designed by John Benjamin Keane and was completed in 1835. [1] :293 [2] A castle was originally built on the site around 1619 by a Scottish planter called Gerard Lowther.

In the 1990s the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs signed a 25 year lease on the property to use it as an equine training centre which ran until 2023. [3]

Castle Archdale in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland is a former estate on the shores of Lough Erne Lower, the key feature of which today is Castle Archdale Country Park. There is also a caravan park. The former estate is situated near Lisnarick and Irvinestown, in the broader hinterland of Enniskillen, and the park is owned and run by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency.

Sir William Cole (c.1571–1653) was an English soldier and politician, who participated in the Plantation of Ulster and established a settler town at Enniskillen, County Fermanagh. Despite his initial loyalty to the Stuarts, he was a leading English Parliamentarian figure in the Irish Confederate Wars of the 1640s.
