Newtown Elementary School, in what is now Johns Creek, Georgia, was built in 1929. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in August 2006. [1]
The school was deemed significant as "a good example of an elementary school built with minimal details or embellishments, just a functioning four-room school building with central assembly room," built in a rural area just before the Great Depression. It originally had pot-bellied stoves and outdoor privies. [2]
It replaced four separate one-room schoolhouses in what was then Milton County, Georgia, as the last school built in the county, before Milton was merged in 1931 into Fulton County for financial reasons including the economic effects of the boll weevil. The property includes two contributing buildings besides the school: a storage shed and a community building. Its main building is H-shaped. [2]
It is the sole historic place in Johns Creek which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [note 1] It was listed with location being in unincorporated area of Fulton County, near Alpharetta. Later in the listing year of 2006, Johns Creek was officially incorporated as a city.

The Candler Building is a 17-story highrise at 127 Peachtree Street, NE, in Atlanta, Georgia. When completed in 1906 by Coca-Cola magnate Asa Griggs Candler, it was the tallest building in the city. There were several historic bridges around the metro Atlanta, Georgia area, for which many of its current-day roads are named. Many of them originated as ferries, dating back to the 1820s and 1830s, and carrying travelers across the Chattahoochee River and several other smaller rivers. Several were also covered bridges, very few of which remain as historic sites.

The Pond Street School, also known as the Alice E. Fulton School, is an historic former school building at 235 Pond Street in Weymouth, Massachusetts. The Colonial Revival brick building was constructed in 1928 to a design by architect Howard B. S. Prescott. Originally built in an H shape, the building was extended in 1953 and 1958 to the northeast, and in 1967 with the addition of a gymnasium section to the west. The latter portion was demolished and replaced by a new wing in 2008 during the conversion of the building to a senior living facility. The building served as an elementary school until 1991; it was renamed Alice E. Fulton School, after its first principal, in 1964.
The Madison School, District No. 1 is a historic one-room district schoolhouse, located on the grounds of the Madison Elementary School on New Hampshire Route 113 in Madison, New Hampshire. The school was built in 1835, and continues to exhibit Greek Revival characteristics despite alterations in 1873 and 1951. It was used as a school until 1950, has hosted town meetings, and has served as the local library. It is presently home to the local historical society. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in 2006.
The County Line School and Lodge is a historic multifunction community building in rural western Fulton County, Arkansas. It stands at the junction of County Roads 115 and 236, just east of the county line with Baxter County, west of the small community of Gepp. It is a vernacular two story wood-frame structure with a gable roof and a cast stone foundation. The ground floor houses a school room, and the upper floor was used for meetings of the County Line Masonic Lodge. It was built c. 1879, and was one of the first community buildings to be built in the area. Intended to actually stand astride the county line, a later survey determined it lies a few feet within Fulton County. The building was used as a school until 1948, when the local school systems were consolidated.
