Nick Afanasiev (born July 29, 1989) is a Russian-born American actor, known for having the longest tongue in recorded history. Afanasiev's tongue is nine centimeters (3.54 inches) long, and is considered the longest tongue in America. [1] [2]

Career

Afanasiev has appeared in independent films, television pilots, an episode of Animal Planet's Killer Outbreaks, and commercials for CCM Hockey Gear, [3] Cornetto Ice Cream, and Mopar. In 2011, he starred in the Travis Fort film 2012: Ice Age. [4] His tongue has been showcased on numerous television shows around the world. He performs tricks such as licking his elbow, licking his eye, text messaging with his tongue, and licking ice cream from the tip of his nose. [5]

Afanasiev was born in Moscow, Russia, and moved to the United States at the age of seven. In 2008, a video featuring Afanasiev's tongue became an internet sensation. [1] In addition to iCarly, Afanasiev has appeared on television shows around the world, [6] including The Tyra Banks Show , [5] Tonight Show with Jay Leno , [7] and TruTV's Smoking Gun Presents. [8]

Maggie Simpson in "The Longest Daycare" or simply The Longest Daycare, is a 2012 American animated 3D comedy short film based on the animated television series The Simpsons. In the film, Maggie Simpson is enrolled at a new daycare facility where she squares off with the foul-tempered Baby Gerald when she befriends a caterpillar. The short originated with Simpsons producer James L. Brooks, who enlisted long-time veteran of the series David Silverman to direct the film. The picture was written by producers Brooks, Al Jean, David Mirkin, writers Michael Price and Joel H. Cohen, as well as the show's creator Matt Groening, who also produced the short.
