The fourth annual Nickelodeon Australian Kids' Choice Awards were held on 11 October 2006 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in Sydney. The show was hosted by Sophie Monk, Dave Lawson and James Kerley. The nominees were announced on 10 August 2006 and closed on 20 September 2006. [1] Lindsay Lohan was originally lined up to host the 2006 awards, but was unable to attend. [2] Bindi Irwin made her first public appearance at the 2006 awards ceremony since her father's (Steve Irwin) memorial service. [3]

It was the number one compilation album in the 2006 End of Year ARIA Charts. The album also was certified quintuple platinum in 2007.

The second annual AVMA's aired live in the Acer Arena in Sydney on 12 April 2006 on the Foxtel, Austar and Optus platforms and was hosted by Ashlee Simpson.
The 2006 show left out the VH1 Music First Award, Best Dressed Video and Sexiest Video.

Saturday Nick TV was a weekend morning show aired on Nickelodeon Australia from 10am to 2pm on Saturday. It was produced by Burberry Productions and shot in Melbourne. It was started with the help of Britney Spears.

2007 Kids Choice Awards

The 20th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was held on March 31, 2007, hosted by Justin Timberlake. It was the highest rated show in the history of the Kids Choice Awards. The show was held at Pauley Pavilion at the University of California, Los Angeles. Gwen Stefani and Maroon 5 performed during the show.

The Dolly Teen Choice Awards began in 2006 as a non-broadcast show with hosts Stephanie McIntosh and Jules Lund. The show was held at Sydney's Luna Park Big Top on 31 August 2006 and included guests The Veronicas, Anthony Callea, Guy Sebastian, Lee Harding, Rogue Traders, Girlband, and Kid Courageous. In 2007 The Dolly Teen Choice Awards were held on the 5 September 2007 and hosted by Jules Lund and Jackie O.

Bassinthegrass is an Australian music festival. It is the largest music festival in the Northern Territory, and has been held annually since 2003 at the Darwin Amphitheatre in the territory capital.
