Nidaros Roller Derby (NRD) is a women's flat track flat-track roller derby league based in Trondheim, Norway. Founded in 2010, Nidaros Roller Derby is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). [1]
Nidaros was the first roller derby league in Norway, [2] founded in August 2010, [3] and had more than thirty skaters by November. [4] By late 2011, it was one of three roller derby leagues in Norway, and was a finalist in the national "Klubben i mitt hjerte" (club in my heart) competition. [5]
In October 2012, Nidaros was accepted as a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association Apprentice Programme, [6] and it became a full WFTDA member in September 2013. [7] Nidaros has two teams, an A and a B team, which play teams from other leagues. [8]
In 2016, Nidaros became the first team from Norway to qualify for WFTDA Playoffs, placed in the Division 2 Playoff in Lansing, Michigan. [9] At Lansing, Nidaros lost their first two games to Wasatch Roller Derby [10] (Salt Lake City, Utah) and Tri-City Roller Derby [11] (Kitchener, Ontario), before defeating Grand Raggidy Roller Girls (Grand Rapids, Michigan) 168–137 to finish in ninth place. Calgary Roller Derby is a not-for-profit women's flat-track roller derby league based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Calgary Roller Derby is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).
Madison Roller Derby (MRD), founded as "Mad Rollin' Dolls", is a women's flat-track roller derby league based in Madison, Wisconsin. Founded in 2004, Madison is a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), and was the fourth league to join the fledgling organization. Since 2006, Madison has qualified for the WFTDA post-season every year, including three appearances at WFTDA Championships.

Queen City Roller Derby or QCRD, is the flat-track roller derby league based in Buffalo, New York. Founded as Queen City Roller Derby in 2006, the league is scheduled to play its fourteenth season in 2020. QCRD is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). Since 2016, Queen City plays home games at Buffalo RiverWorks on the city's waterfront, drawing upwards of 1,000 fans to events, with the home-team season typically running from January through June. The facility at RiverWorks is a private development that includes a purpose-built flat track for roller derby, and is credited for helping the league sell over 10,000 tickets in the 2016 season. During the 2019 season, Queen City changed its name to Queen City Roller Derby to represent the league's inclusiveness of all people.
Tri-City Roller Derby is a women's flat-track roller derby league in Kitchener, Ontario. On December 1, 2010, Tri-City became the third Canadian roller derby league to be granted membership in the Women's Flat Track Derby Association, Having only completed two full home seasons, Tri-City gained membership status with WFTDA ahead of their Toronto-based sisters at Toronto Roller Derby.
