Nik Kozub

Nik Kozub is a Canadian musician. Formerly a bass guitarist for the band Veal, [1] he is now associated with the electronic music group Shout Out Out Out Out. [2]

Kozub also writes and records his own solo electronic music and remixes material for other artists under the name The Paronomasiac, DJs under the name Nik 7, and is a recording engineer and producer who has worked on material for a variety of artists including Cadence Weapon, [3] Humans, [4] and The Wet Secrets. [5] In 2006 he appeared in Trevor Anderson's short documentary film Rock Pockets . [6]

Nik is the co-founder, along with Shout Out Out Out Out member Jason Troock, of Edmonton-based record label Normals Welcome Records, established in 2005. [7]

He is the son of Wilfred Kozub, a rock musician in Edmonton. [8]

Shout Out Out Out Out was a Canadian dance-punk/electro group from Edmonton, Alberta. The band's lineup is unusual in that it includes multiple drummers and bassists, as well as vintage synthesizer equipment.

Ten Second Epic was a Canadian five-piece alternative rock band from Edmonton. The band formed in 2002 consisting of Andrew Usenik (vocals), Daniel Carriere (guitar), Craig Spelliscy (guitar), Sandy MacKinnon (bass) and Patrick Birtles (drums). TSE released three full-length albums in the course of their career, Count Yourself In, Hometown and Better Off. The band officially announced their breakup on February 25, 2014, and did their final tour in May 2014.

<i>Wave 1</i> 2014 EP by Com Truise

Wave 1 is the third extended play released under synthwave musician Seth Haley's pseudonym Com Truise. Haley described his releases as Com Truise as parts of a story about the world's first "Synthetic Astronaut" on his adventure to a planet, and Wave 1 is where he lands on a kind-of replica of Earth. Musically, Haley had to get inspiration from several artists as this part of the story is also where the music starts to change.

A nightcore edit is a version of a track that increases the pitch and speeds up its source material by approximately 35%. This gives an effect almost identical to playing a 33⅓-RPM vinyl record at 45 RPM. This 35% increase in RPM causes the note C4 to become slightly lower in pitch than the note F#4 (261.63 Hz becomes 353.19 Hz) which is an increase of approximately 5 and a half semitones.

Dreampunk is a microgenre of electronic music characterized by its focus on cinematic ambience and field recordings, combined with various traits and techniques from electronic genres such as techno, jungle, electro, and dubstep.

DINX is a Canadian short comedy film, directed by Trevor Anderson and released in 2008. The film stars Farren Timoteo as Zack, a young man who works as a shooter boy in a gay strip club but is dissatisfied with his job and aspires to be allowed to perform as a stripper; when called to the office by his boss, however, he unexpectedly finds himself transported, still clad in go-go shorts and carrying a shooter tray, back in time to childhood to revisit the day when he tried to protect himself from bullying by taking the blame when his school's two main troublemakers spray-painted "DINX" on the school wall.
