Nikki Stringfield (born 1990) is an American heavy metal musician. She is the current guitarist for The Iron Maidens, Femme Fatale, [4] [5] and Heaven Below, [6] [7] as well as the former guitarist for Before the Mourning. [8]

Early life

Born in 1990 in Red Oak, Texas, [2] Stringfield attended Red Oak High School and graduated in 2008. [9] [ non-primary source needed ] She studied at The University of Texas in Austin, [10] graduating in 2012 [9] with a degree in Radio/TV/Film. [11]

Career

After an internship with Warner Brothers Music [3] Stringfield moved to Los Angeles in January 2012 [12] and became part of American melodic metal bands Before the Mourning [3] and The Iron Maidens. [12]

In 2014, Stringfield and Before the Mourning parted ways, [13] after which time Stringfield joined Femme Fatale in May 2015. [14] [ non-primary source needed ] In September 2015, The Iron Maidens brought the former guest guitarist on as a settled member for the ensemble. [15] [ non-primary source needed ] Stringfield and The Iron Maidens vocalist Kirsten Rosenberg appeared as contestants on the August 3, 2017, episode of the music game show Beat Shazam . [16]

In 2017, Stringfield released music videos for her solo singles "Save Our Souls" and "As Chaos Consumes", [17] followed by "Heart Shaped Box" in 2018. [18]

In late 2018, Stringfield became a touring guitarist for American rock band Heaven Below. [6] [7] In January 2019, she announced that she plans to release her debut solo EP some time that year. [19] In July 2019, the singer announced the title of the album, Harmonies for the Haunted , [20] with a September 2019 announcement that she expects to release the album on October 30, 2019. [21] [22] On October 18, 2019, Stringfield debuted "When the Devil Comes Down", her first single from the EP. [23]

In March 2021, the singer announced that she is working on a full-length studio album. [24] [25]

On Sundays in February 2022, Stringfield and Heaven Below lead vocalist/Lita Ford guitarist Patrick Kennison performed during their residency at Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, California. [26] [27]

On 26 June 2022, Stringfield plans to release Live in the Living Room which she created with Kennison. The two plan to perform that same date at Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, California. [28]

Additionally, on the last 3 Wednesdays in July 2022, Stringfield plans to perform at the same venue, with Kennison performing on the latter two dates. [29]

In July 2023, it was announced her debut full-length album, Apocrypha, would be released on September 29. [30]

Personal life

Stringfield and Kennison married on November 4, 2022 after almost ten years of friendship and dating. The couple met in 2012 at an all-star jam night in Hollywood, California. [31]

The Union Underground is an American nu metal band based out of San Antonio, Texas. Original band members included Bryan Scott, Patrick Kennison, John Moyer and Josh Memolo. They released one major label album, ...An Education in Rebellion, in 2000 which featured the hit single "Turn Me On 'Mr. Deadman'".

Femme Fatale was an American hard rock band. Originally from Albuquerque, the band moved to Los Angeles and released one studio album before disbanding. Lead vocalist, Lorraine Lewis, restarted the band in 2013 with an all-female line-up.

Black Tide was an American heavy metal band from Kendall, Florida. Formed in 2004, the band last consisted of Gabriel Garcia, Austin Diaz and Cody Paige (drums). They released their debut album, Light from Above, on March 18, 2008 through Interscope Records when Garcia was 15 years old. Their second album, Post Mortem, was released on August 23, 2011. Femme Fatale is the seventh studio album by American singer Britney Spears. It was released on March 25, 2011, by Jive Records, and was her last album with the label before they shut down later that year as she was moved to RCA Records. Musically, Spears wanted to make a "fresh-sounding" and "fierce dance album", thus incorporating dance-pop, electropop, EDM and synth-pop styles with elements of dubstep, techno and electro in its sound. September Mourning is an American alternative metal band that incorporates a transmedia dark culture project created by Emily Lazar and Marc Silvestri. The conceptual project was formed by frontwoman, vocalist, and screamer Emily Lazar in New York in 2009. The concept narrative created by Lazar and incorporated in the band and their performances, centers around the fictional story of a human-grim reaper hybrid named September, as she navigates the worlds of the living and the dead. The character's human-side possesses the empathy to give some human souls a second chance. The story is presented on different media platforms, including music, comic books, and live concerts. The comic books are published by Top Cow Productions Image Comics.
