Eric Sheridan Prydz, also known by his aliases Pryda and Cirez D among a number of others, is a Swedish DJ, record producer, and musician. He rose to fame with his 2004 hit single "Call on Me", and saw continued chart success with "Proper Education" in 2007, and "Pjanoo" in 2008. In 2016, he released his debut studio album, Opus.
"Call on Me" is a song co-written and recorded by Swedish DJ and producer Eric Prydz. The song is based on a sample of Steve Winwood's 1982 song "Valerie" from the album Talking Back to the Night. "Call on Me" received significant sales success and topped several record charts. The song is known for its music video, which features several women and a man performing aerobics in a sexually suggestive manner.
"Proper Education" is a remix of the 1979 song "Another Brick in the Wall, Part II" by Pink Floyd by the Swedish DJ and electronic music producer Eric Prydz. It was released as a standalone single by Ministry of Sound and Data Records internationally and by Ultra Records in the United States on 1 January 2007. It made it to number two on the UK Singles Chart and reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart in 2007, making it the first remixed recording of an original song to reach the top spot on this chart. On 8 December 2007 the song received a nomination for best remixed recording at the 2008 Grammy Awards.
"Pjanoo" is a keyboard-based house track by the Swedish DJ and producer Eric Prydz. It received moderate airplay amongst British radio stations, being heavily used by BBC Radio 1 in advertisements for their "Radio 1 Big Weekend" and "Weekend in Ibiza" events. The single peaked at number six on the Swedish Singles Chart. "Pjanoo" found success outside Sweden, particularly in the United Kingdom, where it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart and topped the country's Dance chart for ten non-consecutive weeks.
