<span class="mw-page-title-main">Abner Mikva</span> American politician and judge (1926–2016)

Abner Joseph Mikva was an American politician, federal judge, and legal scholar. He was a member of the Democratic Party. After serving in the Illinois House of Representatives, Mikva ran for congress in 1966 but lost the primary to incumbent congressman Barrett O'Hara. In 1968, Mikva defeated O'Hara. Mikva served in the United States House of Representatives representing Illinois's 2nd congressional district (1969–1973) and 10th congressional district (1975–1979). He was appointed as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit by President Jimmy Carter, serving from 1979 to 1994. He served as the White House Counsel from 1994 to 1995 during Bill Clinton's presidency. He was one of the few people in modern times to serve in the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the Federal government.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law</span> Law school in Chicago, Illinois, US

The Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law is the law school of Northwestern University, a private research university. The law school is located on the university's Chicago campus. Northwestern Law is considered part of the T14, an unofficial designation in the legal community as the best 14 law schools in the United States.

Saint Louis University School of Law, also known as SLU Law, is the law school affiliated with Saint Louis University, a private Jesuit research university in Saint Louis, Missouri. The school has been American Bar Association approved since 1924 and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools.

Ann Claire Williams is a retired United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and a former United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is currently of counsel at Jones Day.

George Wakem Lindberg was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rubén Castillo (judge)</span> American judge (born 1954)

Rubén Castillo is a former United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In 1994, Castillo was the first person of Latino descent to be named a judge in the Northern District of Illinois, and in 2013 the first to become Chief Judge.

Joel Martin Flaum is a senior United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and a former United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

John Francis Grady was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

James F. Holderman is a former United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Richard Joseph Hopkins was a justice of the Kansas Supreme Court and a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.

Virginia Mary Kendall is an American attorney and jurist serving as a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. President George W. Bush appointed her to the bench on January 3, 2006. In addition to serving on the bench, Judge Kendall is also a noted expert on child exploitation and human trafficking, as well as an adjunct professor and author.

Carl Eugene McGowan was a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">J. B. Pritzker</span> Governor of Illinois since 2019

Jay Robert Pritzker is an American businessman, philanthropist, attorney, venture capitalist, and politician serving since 2019 as the 43rd governor of Illinois. He is from Chicago and is a member of the wealthy Pritzker family, which owns the hotel chain Hyatt. Pritzker has started several venture capital and investment startups, including the Pritzker Group, where he is a managing partner.

The University of Mississippi School of Law, also known as Ole Miss Law, is an ABA-accredited law school located on the campus of the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. The School of Law offers the only dedicated aerospace law curriculum in the United States from an ABA-accredited school. The University of Mississippi School of Law is also the only school in the United States, and one of only a handful in the world, to offer a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Air and Space Law.

Jeffrey Irvine Cummings is an American lawyer from Illinois, who has served as a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois since 2023. He previously served as a United States magistrate judge of the same court from 2019 to 2023.
