OD is an upcoming horror game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Xbox Game Studios. It stars Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer and Udo Kier. [1] Hideo Kojima and Jordan Peele served as writers for the game. [2]
While OD's story has not yet been revealed, according to Kojima, the game will "explore the concept of testing your fear threshold, and what it means to OD on fear." [3] Kojima stated he is "working with Xbox Game Studios and their cloud gaming technology to take on the challenge of creating a very unique, immersive, and totally new style of game — or rather, a new form of media." [4]
Around November 2022, 2 and a half minutes of gameplay were leaked on a live stream recording of a phone and on Twitter, showing a nurse in a dark presumed hospital walking around with a flashlight, breathing heavily. At the end, she sits down, then looks at the camera and screams before the screen cuts to black and cryptic symbols form to say "GAMEOVER" and then "OVERDOSE". [5]

Hideo Kojima is a Japanese video game designer. He is regarded as an auteur of video games. He developed a strong passion for film and literature during his childhood and adolescence. In 1986, he was hired by Konami, for which he designed and wrote Metal Gear (1987) for the MSX2, a game that laid the foundations for stealth games and the Metal Gear series, his best known and most appreciated works. At Konami, he also produced the Zone of the Enders series, as well as wrote and designed Snatcher (1988) and Policenauts (1994), graphic adventure games regarded for their cinematic presentation.

It is the spiritual successor to a production team inside Konami also known as Kojima Productions originally founded in 2005. The independent Kojima Productions has a slightly altered Japanese name and is based in Shinagawa, Tokyo.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a 2015 action-adventure stealth video game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is an upcoming action game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is the sequel to Death Stranding (2019) and the second game from Kojima Productions and director Hideo Kojima as an independent entity, as well as the studio's second collaboration with SIE. The title will feature the previous game's central characters Sam Porter Bridges, Fragile and Higgs, reprised by actors Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker, respectively. They are joined by additional characters portrayed by Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna. The game features the likenesses of Mad Max co-creator George Miller and Turkish film director Fatih Akin.
Abandoned is the tentative title for an upcoming survival horror game being developed and published by Blue Box Game Studios, an independent video game company based in The Netherlands. Described as a "cinematic horror survival shooter" featuring "realistic" gameplay mechanics, Abandoned's premise centres around Jason Longfield, who must escape a forest after being kidnapped. A playable teaser of Abandoned, titled Abandoned: Prologue, is also in development and is planned to be released before the main game.
Silent Hill 2 is an upcoming survival horror video game developed by Bloober Team and published by Konami. It is a remake of the 2001 game of the same name, originally developed by Team Silent, a group in Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo (KCET). It will be the first major installment in the Silent Hill series since Silent Hill: Downpour (2012). Like the original game, it follows James Sunderland, a widower who returns to the eponymous town of Silent Hill upon receiving a letter from his deceased wife Mary, who claims to be waiting there for him.
The Casting of Frank Stone is an upcoming interactive drama horror video game by Supermassive Games and published by Behaviour Interactive. The game was revealed at the 2023 Game Awards. It is set in the Dead by Daylight universe and is scheduled to be released in 2024 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.
