Opinion polling for the 2019 Ukrainian presidential election

Last updated

In the run up to the 2019 Ukrainian presidential election , various organisations carried out opinion polling to gauge voting intention in Ukraine. The results of such polls are displayed in this article.

Contents

The date range for these polls are from the previous presidential election to 31 March 2019. On 26 November 2018, Ukraine's parliament set the presidential vote for 31 March 2019. [1] [2]

Our Land is a political party in Ukraine, founded on 23 August 2011, under the name "Bloc Party". In 2014, it was renamed as "Our Land". In the October 2015 Ukrainian local elections the party was one of the winners. Our Land took third place with 4,375 seats and 156 seats as mayors, heads of towns and villages. In the 2020 Ukrainian local elections the party gained 1,694 seats.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2019 Ukrainian presidential election</span>

Presidential elections were held in Ukraine on 31 March 2019. As none of the 39 candidates on the ballot received an absolute majority of the initial vote, a runoff was held on 21 April between the top two vote-getters, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a television personality, and the incumbent president, Petro Poroshenko. According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), Zelenskyy won the second round with 73.22% of the votes. The election was recognized as free and fair.

The legal basis for the introduction of martial law in Ukraine is the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "On the legal status of martial law" and presidential decrees about the introduction of martial law. Modern-day martial law has been introduced two times in Ukraine.

Holos, translated as Voice or Vote, is a liberal and pro-European political party in Ukraine, which was led by Ukrainian musician Svyatoslav Vakarchuk until March 2020. The party won 20 MPs in the 2019 parliamentary election and became part of the opposition in the current Ukrainian parliament. The party split late July 2021 and seven MPs were expelled from the party. As of September 2021, only nine of the party's 20 seats in the Verkhovna Rada are held by MPs who are loyal to the party; the remaining 11 are held by MPs who have formed a breakaway group called Justice.

Dmytro Oleksandrovych Razumkov is a Ukrainian politician and former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. Previously he was leader of the Servant of the People party. On 1 March, Gnap withdrew his candidacy in favour of supporting fellow candidate Anatoliy Hrytsenko. The following day the party officially withdraw Gnap's candidacy.
