The Ourimbah Campus (also referred to as the Central Coast Campus) is a multi-sector campus which offers University, TAFE and Community College programs and courses. The Ourimbah campus is a partnership of The University of Newcastle and Hunter Institute of TAFE. Affiliates are the Central Coast Community College and the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music. Ourimbah Campus is located in Ourimbah, New South Wales, just between Newcastle and Sydney.

It is a bushland campus, offering a quiet environment for students and visitors, set on just over 80 hectares. The building program began in the 1990s, and has continued as the campus has expanded, but all of the buildings have been designed to blend with the natural environment. The Ourimbah Campus of Newcastle University was officially opened on Friday 1 September 1995 by The Hon. Bill Hayden, Governor General. [1]

Ourimbah Campus lies just off the F3 Freeway at Ourimbah on Chittaway and Brush roads. From the F3 Freeway take the Ourimbah exit, which intersects with the Pacific Highway, and follow the signs to the campus. The campus is within ten minutes walking distance of the Ourimbah train station and local buses drive right into the Campus until 5 pm. [2]

Central Coast Campuses

The Central Coast Campuses is the name given to three education campuses on the Central Coast of New South Wales located at Gosford, Ourimbah and Wyong. It is a partnership of The University of Newcastle, The Hunter Institute of TAFE NSW and the Central Coast Community College. [3]

It is affiliated with the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music.

The Campus is an innovative model where services and infrastructure are shared between education providers.

Pacific Highway (Australia)

The Pacific Highway is a 780-kilometre-long (485 mi) national highway and major transport route along the central east coast of Australia, with the majority of it being part of Australia's Highway 1. The highway and its adjoining Pacific Motorway between Brisbane and Brunswick Heads and Pacific Motorway between Sydney and Newcastle links the state capitals of Sydney in New South Wales with Brisbane in Queensland, approximately paralleling the Tasman Sea of the South Pacific Ocean coast, via Gosford, Newcastle, Taree, Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, and Ballina. Additionally, between Brunswick Heads and Port Macquarie, the road is also signed as the Pacific Motorway, but has not been legally gazetted as such.

TAFE NSW is an Australian vocational education and training provider. Annually, the network trains over 500,000 students in campus, workplace, online, or distance education methods of education. It was established as an independent statutory body under the TAFE Commission Act 1990. The Minister for Regional Development, Skills and Small Business is responsible for TAFE NSW.

Pacific Motorway (Sydney–Newcastle) Motorway in New South Wales, Australia

The Pacific Motorway, signposted M1, is a 127 km (79 mi) stretch of motorway linking Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle and Hunter regions of New South Wales. It is also known by its former names F3 Freeway, Sydney–Newcastle Freeway, and Sydney–Newcastle Expressway. It is part of the AusLink road corridor between Sydney and Brisbane. The name "F3 Freeway" reflects its former route allocation, but is commonly used by both the public and the government to refer to the roadway long after the route allocation itself was no longer in use.
