The Pan American Championship (Spanish : Torneo Panamericano de Rugby) was the major international rugby tournament held in the Americas, hosted irregularly on five occasions from 1995 to 2003. The tournament was organized by the Pan American Rugby Association (PARA) and included the World Cup teams of Argentina, Canada and Uruguay in 1995, joined by the United States from 1996 onwards. Argentina won all five of the tournaments.

Union, Progress and Democracy was a Spanish political party founded in September 2007 and dissolved in December 2020. The Ciudad Barrios prison is a prison in Ciudad Barrios, San Miguel, El Salvador. Between September 2004 and mid-2015, it exclusively housed members of the Mara Salvatrucha gang. During this time, El Salvador had a policy of segregating gang members in its prisons; this policy has been reversed. The Ciudad Barrios prison has been militarized, with both soldiers and police officers serving as prison guards. As of 2012, the prison housed nearly 2,500 prisoners, despite a capacity of 800. The 2019 European Parliament election in Spain was held on Sunday, 26 May 2019, as part of the EU-wide election to elect the 9th European Parliament. All 54 seats allocated to Spain as per the Treaty of Lisbon were up for election. Once the United Kingdom is effectively out of the European Union in a legal basis as a result of Brexit, 5 additional seats would be allocated to Spain. The election was held simultaneously with regional elections in twelve autonomous communities and local elections all throughout Spain.

The 2018 Campeonato Nacional, known as Campeonato Nacional Scotiabank 2018 for sponsorship purposes, was the 88th season of top-flight football in Chile. The season started on 2 February and ended on 2 December. Colo-Colo were the defending champions, having won the 2017 Transición tournament. Universidad Católica won their thirteenth title on the last day of the season following a 2–1 win at Deportes Temuco, who were relegated to the second tier with this defeat.

The 2020 Liga 1 de Fútbol Profesional was the 104th season of the Peruvian Primera División, the highest division of Peruvian football. A total of 20 teams competed in the season with Binacional coming in as defending champions. The season started on 31 January 2020 and concluded on 20 December 2020 with the second leg of the finals. Sporting Cristal won its 20th domestic championship by beating Universitario in the finals by a 3–2 aggregate score.

The 2020 Chilean Primera División, known as Campeonato Nacional AFP PlanVital 2020 for sponsorship reasons, is the 90th season of the Chilean Primera División, Chile's top-flight football league. The season started on 24 January 2020. Universidad Católica are the defending champions, having won the previous tournament.
