Parents for Education Foundation (PAREF) is an educational foundation established by parents that administers schools for basic education in the Philippines. It owns several single-sex Catholic schools that are closely affiliated with Opus Dei. [1] [2]

Profile

Founded in 1976, PAREF Schools aim to provide personal integral education to their students. Its core educational philosophy rests on the principle, supported by research, that the fullness of a child's education is effectively realized through the integral formation first of the parents, second of the teachers, the two most influential teachers of children. [3] [4]

Vicente Castelo Sotto III, professionally known as Tito Sotto, is a Filipino politician, entertainer and athlete who served as Senate President from 2018 to 2022. Before that, he had two stints each as Senate Majority Leader and Senate Minority Leader. He served a total of four terms in the Senate: 1992 to 2004 and 2010 to 2022, tying the record for the longest-serving Senator with Lorenzo Tañada and Franklin Drilon. Brother Armin Altamirano Luistro, FSC is a Filipino Lasallian Brother who served as secretary of the Department of Education of the Philippines under President Benigno Aquino III. Luistro entered De La Salle Scholasticate in Manila on April 1979 while he was studying in De La Salle University (DLSU). He received the religious habit of the congregation on October 1981 at the La Salle Novitiate in Lipa. He professed his first religious vows on October 1982, and his final vows on May 1988.
