Perfect Ten is the third studio album by American record producer Mustard, released on June 28, 2019, by 10 Summers Records and Interscope Records. [3] [4] It includes the singles "Pure Water", "100 Bands", and "Ballin'", which were Mustard's only hit songs as a solo act. [2] [5] [6] In December 2019, the album was certified gold by the RIAA for over 500,000 album-equivalent units. [7]

Mustard said that the album features "a lot of anthems" and that "all of [his] friends are on it". [6] The cover is an image of Mustard as a child. [8]

Promotion

Mustard announced the album at the Power 106 Liftoff Edition concert festival on May 18, then on social media on May 21, 2019. [9]

The track was released as the third single from Mustard's third studio album, Perfect Ten, on August 20, 2019, though it was available as early as the end of June 2019. The song and its accompanying video received acclaim from music critics, with Complex magazine naming it the Best Song of 2019. It peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Mustard's highest charting song in the US. The song received a nomination for Best Rap/Sung Performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards, making it the first time Ricch has been nominated for a Grammy and Mustard's first nomination as an artist.
