Peter Emmerich (born November 5, 1973) is an acclaimed illustrator who has had an extensive relationship with The Walt Disney Co. [1]
Born in New York City, and raised in Brooklyn, Peter Emmerich attended Xaverian High School, and went on to pursue postsecondary education at The Fashion Institute of Technology. [2] Upon graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology, he began his career with The Walt Disney Co. as a character artist for Walt Disney Consumer Products. [3] He worked there for over two years before being promoted to Chief Illustrator and Official Character Artist for the Disneyland Resort. [4] While he was there, he created a great number of successful collector lithographs, including Disneyland's 45th Anniversary "Character of the Month" series. In 2001, he created an image that has become known as one of The Walt Disney Company's most iconic images: "Mickey Salutes America" with the poster publisher, Bruce Mcgaw Graphics, Inc. in Nyack, New York.
Due to the success of that image, Emmerich was chosen to create a series of postage stamps for the United States Postal Service, highlighting images and characters from famous Disney films. The series of twelve stamps would include three sections titled "The Art of Disney: Friendship", "The Art of Disney: Celebration", and "The Art of Disney: Romance". These stamps feature many well-known and loved Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Cinderella, and The Lion King.
Emmerich has taught at The Pratt Institute and currently teaches at The Fashion Institute of Technology. [5]

Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is an animated cartoon character created in 1927 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks for Universal Pictures. He starred in several animated short films released to theaters from 1927 to 1938. Twenty-seven animated Oswald shorts were produced at the Walt Disney Studio. After Universal took control of Oswald's character in 1928, Disney created a new character similar in appearance to Oswald as a replacement: Mickey Mouse, who went on to become one of the most famous cartoon characters in the world.

Alice in Wonderland is a 1951 American animated musical fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. It is based on Lewis Carroll's 1865 novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its 1871 sequel Through the Looking-Glass. The production was supervised by Ben Sharpsteen, and was directed by Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson, and Hamilton Luske. With the voices of Kathryn Beaumont, Ed Wynn, Richard Haydn, Sterling Holloway, Jerry Colonna, Verna Felton, J. Pat O'Malley, Bill Thompson, and Heather Angel, the film follows a young girl Alice who falls down a rabbit hole to enter a nonsensical world Wonderland that is ruled by the Queen of Hearts, while encountering strange creatures, including the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat.
Adventureland is one of the "themed lands" at the many Disneyland-style theme parks run by the Walt Disney Company around the world. It is themed to resemble the remote jungles in Africa, Asia, South America, Oceania and the Caribbean. "To create a land that would make this dream reality", said Walt Disney, "We pictured ourselves far from civilization, in the remote jungles of Asia and Africa."
Mary Blair was an American artist, animator, and designer. She was prominent in producing art and animation for The Walt Disney Company, drawing concept art for such films as Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Song of the South and Cinderella. Blair also created character designs for enduring attractions such as Disneyland's It's a Small World, the fiesta scene in El Rio del Tiempo in the Mexico pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase, and an enormous mosaic inside Disney's Contemporary Resort. Several of her illustrated children's books from the 1950s remain in print, such as I Can Fly by Ruth Krauss. Blair was inducted into the group of Disney Legends in 1991.
World of Color is a nighttime show at Disney California Adventure in the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Conceived by Vice President of Parades and Spectaculars Steve Davison, and designed by Disney Live Entertainment, the show has 1,200 water fountains and includes lights, fire, lasers, and fog, with high-definition projections on mist screens. The show is inspired by Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color anthology television series, as evidenced by the use of its eponymous theme song written by the Sherman Brothers.

Joyce Carlson was an American artist and designer credited with creating the idyllic universe of singing children at "It's a Small World" rides at Walt Disney theme parks around the world. Carlson also worked as an ink artist in the Walt Disney Animation Studios, on such films as Cinderella, Peter Pan and Sleeping Beauty. She was the lead ink artist for the 1955 Disney film Lady and the Tramp. She spent 56 years working on Disney's animated films and theme park attractions.
Disneyland is a theme park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It was the first theme park opened by the Walt Disney Company and the only one designed and constructed under the direct supervision of Walt Disney, and opened on July 17, 1955.
Art of Disney Animation is an attraction at the Disney California Adventure in Disneyland Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. In Walt Disney Studios Park, the attraction opened on March 16, 2002 in the Toon Studio area, but was closed on January 7, 2019. It was reopened on November 17, 2019.

Claude Coats was an American artist, background artist, animator and set designer, known for his work with the Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering. His pioneering work with the company helped define the character of animated films, and later, immersive installations with his designs for Disneyland. Coats, known as "The Gentle Giant" was inducted a Disney Legend in 1991.
Partners is a 1993 copper statue by Blaine Gibson depicting Walt Disney holding the hand of the most popular character he created, Mickey Mouse. The statue is 6 feet 5 inches (196 cm), 7 inches (18 cm) taller than Disney himself. It is the central point of attention as guests enter some of the Disney parks. Gibson took a year to create the piece. He used a 1960 bust of Disney as his model for Disney's half. To sculpt Disney and Mickey's joined hands, he consulted the 1940 film Fantasia, where Mickey shook hands with conductor Leopold Stokowski.
Paul Edward Wenzel was an American artist, best known for his career with The Walt Disney Company, creating illustrations for movie posters and retail merchandise.
Ralph Kent was an American artist and Imagineer. His most famous work was for designing the first limited-edition Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse watch for adults. The design was so popular amongst Disney's executive team that Kent advised Disney artists on character models for decades to follow. Kent is said to have designed marketing materials for many Disneyland attractions, including Jungle Cruise, Enchanted Tiki Room, and It's a Small World. He was named a Disney Legend in 2004.
