From 1983 until 1986, he lived in New York City, where he worked as a freelance composer/arranger and as a publications editor with the S.A. Music Bureau. Since his return to the U.K., he has worked regularly as an arranger for BBC Television and Radio and has specialised in composition for brass band. Since the publication of Dimensions (1983), he has carved out a niche as an outstanding arranger for brass bands, and a leading figure amongst contemporary band composers. His original compositions, which include The Essence of Time, Montage and Journey to the Centre of the Earth, are performed worldwide[citation needed] and have been selected as test pieces for National Championships in Australia, New Zealand, North America and across Europe.
Graham's music for brass has also been arranged for various ensembles, from fanfare orchestras of the Benelux countries to marching bands of the US. The Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps’ highest-ranked show to date (a 6th-place finish from their 2000 production entitled Colors of Brass and Percussion) was built entirely around his compositions The Essence of Time and Montage. The 2006 Bands of America Grand National Champions from Broken Arrow High School featured his music Harrison's Dream. Both the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps and Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps performed excerpts from Triumph of Time in their 2017 shows (entitled Ouroboros and Metamorph, respectively), while Vanguard performed excerpts from Metropolis 1927 and Journey to the Centre of the Earth in their award-winning championship 2018 show.
Graham has held posts as Music Associate with the Black Dyke Band (1997–2004), and as composer-in-residence with Her Majesty's Coldstream Guards Band. He lives in Cheshire, England, with his wife and children. He is currently Professor of Composition at the University of Salford, specializing in arranging and composing for the brass and wind band lineup.

A modern drum and bugle corps is a musical marching unit consisting of brass instruments, percussion instruments, electronic instruments, and color guard. Typically operating as independent non-profit organizations, corps perform in competitions, parades, festivals, and other civic functions. Participants of all ages are represented within the corps activity, but the majority are between the ages of 13 and 22 and are members of corps within Drum Corps International or Drum Corps Associates.

In general terms Malagueñas are flamenco dance styles from Málaga in the southeast of Spain.

Mitch Markovich is an American percussionist, composer, educator, and clinician in the areas of rudimental drumming, marching percussion, drum and bugle corps, and marching band. He is best known for his intensive marching snare drum solo compositions and record-setting performances, entitled "Tornado" and "Stamina", and for his percussion quartet composition entitled "Four Horsemen". Markovich's contributions to the style, notation, composition, and performance of percussion have endured over the last five decades.
Andy Akiho is an American musician and composer of contemporary classical music. A virtuoso percussionist based in New York City, his primary performance instrument is steel pans. He took interest in becoming a percussionist when his older sister introduced him to a drum set at the age of 9. Akiho first tried his hand at the steel pan when he became an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina. He began taking several trips to Trinidad after college to learn and play music. From there, he started writing pieces of his own.
Ave Maria by Franz Biebl is a motet composed for double choir, a large four-part choir and a three-part choir which can be performed by soloists. It is a setting of part of the Latin liturgical Angelus prayer, which contains the Ave Maria as a refrain. The composition was originally written for men's chorus, but the composer wrote arrangements for mixed choir and women's choir. The work and arrangements were published by Wildt's Musikverlag, first in 1964. The piece first became famous when a U.S. group, the Cornell University Glee Club, included it in their Christmas programs, and more famous when the Chanticleer ensemble made it part of their regular repertoire. It was published in the U.S. by Hinshaw and became one of the publisher's best-selling items.
