Peter Kater (born 1958) [1] is a German-born American pianist, composer and Grammy Award winner. [2]

When he was four, he moved with his family from Germany to New Jersey. He studied classical piano at an early age. In 1977 when he was eighteen, Peter moved to Boulder, Colorado, where he spent thirteen years before moving to Virginia and later Los Angeles, building his own studio, and starting his own record label. His debut album, Spirit (Silver Wave, 1983), and those that followed reached the Top 20 New Age music chart at Billboard magazine. These included several collaborations with R. Carlos Nakai. He has also collaborated with Snatam Kaur, Michael DeMaria, Tina Guo, Nawang Khechog and Dominic Miller. His first Grammy Award nomination was for the album Red Moon (Silver Wave, 2003) for Best New Age Album. 13 more nominations followed with his first win coming in 2018 for the album Dancing on Water (Point of Light, 2017). Kater has sold millions of records, scored the music of over 100 television and film productions including 11 On & Off-Broadway dramatic plays and is a proud recipient of the Environment Leadership Award from the United Nations. Dancing On Water debuted at #3 on Billboards New Age Chart, 2017. Inner Passion (Hearts of Space, 2016), his collaboration with cellist Tina Guo, debuted at number four on the Billboard New Age Albums chart. [4]

Medwyn Goodall is a composer, musician and owner of record label MG Music. He is mostly associated with the New Age genre. He was born in Yorkshire, England. He lives with his wife Wendy in Cornwall, England. According to AllMusic, "Goodall began composing original songs as a teen, earning local notoriety with his band Trax; in the years to follow, he learned to play a vast range of instruments, including mandolin, piano, drums, harp, flute, glockenspiel, panpipes, vibraphone and synthesizer, and cut his first album at age 26". He is a prolific recorder, having recorded over 75 albums. He also topped the UK music charts twice and sold over three million albums. His first album was Emergence (1987), published by New World Music. His early albums were published also by Oreade Music. Medwyn Goodall started MG Music in 2003. This is a record label which specializes in New Age music.

New Earth Records is an independent record label focusing primarily on new age and world music, with offices in Boulder, Colorado and Ashland, Oregon. It was founded in 1990 in Munich, Germany, by European entrepreneurs Bhikkhu Schober and Waduda Paradiso. Initially called Tao Music, Schober and Paradiso opted to change the name to New Earth Records. New Earth is one of the first labels to pioneer the introduction of meditation, yoga, and world music to a worldwide audience.

Inner Passion is the 2016 duet album by pianist Peter Kater and cellist Tina Guo. The album was fully improvised upon the musician’s first musical meeting. It debuted at number four on the Billboard New Age Albums chart. Inner Passion received a Grammy Award nomination for Best New Age Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.

Dancing on Water is an album by Peter Kater, released on September 1, 2017. It earned Kater a Grammy Award for Best New Age Album at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards (2018).

Sangeeta Kaur is a Grammy Award winning Vietnamese American classical/crossover, new age vocalist, composer, performing artist, and producer. In 2022, she received a Grammy Award for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album for Mythologies, making her the first Vietnamese-American singer to ever receive a Grammy for a vocal performance. She has performed at the Sydney Opera House and Lincoln Center, among others and in 2021 made her debut television performance, "Sangeeta Kaur and Friends", with Jon Anderson of Yes and Jake Shimabukuro, among others on PBS's Front & Center music series. Kaur performed vocals on Stewart Copeland's and Ricky Kej's 2022 Grammy Award Winning album, Divine Tides.
