Petrolina (Holdings) Public Limited is the largest Cypriot oil company dealing in a wide range of petroleum operations.

It is based in Larnaca. As of 2017, it had a nationwide retail network of 100 gas stations. [2] It supplies and markets motor, industrial, domestic, marine and aviation fuels.

History

Petrolina was established in 1959 by Kikis Lefkaritis and his brothers Nikos, Takis, Kallis and Nakis. [3] It was the first Cypriot oil company. [3]

Petrolina went public in December 2000 listing on the Cyprus Stock Exchange. [4]

In 2003, the company bought out Total Aviation with its two storage tanks in Vasilikos and started the process of moving its fuel terminals from Larnaca to Vasilikos (the process should be completed in 2021). [5] [6]

In 2018, the turnover was €394.2 mln (up from €391.5 mln in 2017) and after-tax profits rose from €4.2 mln in 2017 to €4.3 mln. [4]

The company’s founder Kikis Lefkaritis died on November 30, 2020. [3]

Larnaca International Airport is Cyprus' main international gateway and the larger of the two commercial airports in the area controlled by the Republic of Cyprus, the other being Paphos International Airport on the island's southwestern coast. The airport was given its current name in July 2016, in honour of former President of Cyprus Glafcos Clerides.

Vasilikos Power Station is the newest power plant of Electricity Authority of Cyprus. Located between Larnaca and Limassol and with an installed capacity of 640 MW, it was still under development prior to the Evangelos Florakis Naval Base explosion of 11 July 2011.

The Exolum Group is made up of Compañía Logística de Hidrocarburos CLH S.A. (CLH), CLH Aviación S.A., Terminales Químicos, S.A. (Terquimsa), CLH Pipeline System Ltd (CLH-PS) in the United Kingdom, CLH Aviation Ireland in Ireland, Orpic Logistics Company L.L.C. (OLC) in Oman, CLH Panamá and CLH Aviación Ecuador. Exolum Group is a company in Europe for the transportation and storage of oil products. The company has an 85-year history, as it comes from what used to be (CAMPSA). CLH is the result of the spin-off, in 1992, of the commercial assets of the former CAMPSA that was carried out as the culmination of the process for deregulating the oil sector after the approval of new European Community laws that ended the oil monopoly. Marquard & Bahls was founded in 1947 and has been a stock corporation under commercial law since 1992. The Group has a presence in 33 countries around the world. At the end of 2019, the company employed 6,715 people. In 2019, the company generated revenue of EUR 13.875 billion.

Energean plc is an international hydrocarbon exploration and production company, with a focus on natural gas. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange as well as the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.
