Picture Book is a six-disc box set of material by the Kinks. It was released in December 2008 and compiles previously unreleased demos and outtakes together with selections from the group's four decade-long career. The first box set released by the band, the track listing for the collection is mostly in chronological order. [3] The box set also comes with a 60-page booklet featuring a biography of the band, a timeline, and photos. [4]

"You Really Got Me" is a song written by Ray Davies for English rock band the Kinks. The song, originally performed in a more blues-oriented style, was inspired by artists such as Lead Belly and Big Bill Broonzy. Although it was rumoured that future Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page had performed the song's guitar solo, the myth has since been proven false.

A Hole in the Sock of Dave Davies refers to an unreleased album of solo material by Dave Davies, lead guitarist and co-founder of British rock band the Kinks. Apparently the album was, at least for a time, intended to be released under the name Lincoln County, however, numerous names have been applied to it, including The Album That Never Was.

People who pledged money also got a digital copy of the out-of-print 1975 album Lucille Talks Back. Both versions of the box are physically out of print; the four disc edition is bundled along with Lucille Talks Back digitally, although this version removes King's first single.

The album is a 4 disc collection of demos, live recordings, and b-sides that date between 1994 and 2014. Among its contents is the band's earliest released recording, a duet with Syd Straw of the Ernest Tubb song "The T.B. is Whipping Me", which had been recorded for the 1994 compilation Red Hot + Country.
