As the Grayson County Seat, it is located 71 miles from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the closest city with a population over 50,000, and is situated on Virginia's Crooked Road, a heritage trail celebrating the musical heritage of Western and Southwest Virginia.

The Corydon Historic District is a national historic district located in Corydon, Indiana, United States. The town of Corydon is also known as Indiana's First State Capital and as Historic Corydon. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, but the listing was amended in 1988 to expand the district's geographical boundaries and include additional sites. The district includes numerous historical structures, most notably the Old Capitol, the Old Treasury Building, Governor Hendricks' Headquarters, the Constitution Elm Memorial, the Posey House, the Kintner-McGrain House, and The Kintner House Inn, as well as other residential and commercial sites.

There are eight properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in Linn County, Kansas. Two of the sites are the location of historic events. The Marais des Cygnes Massacre Site is the location of the Marais des Cygnes massacre, an 1858 event during Bleeding Kansas in which pro-slavery advocates kidnapped 11 anti-slavery settlers, killing five of them. John Brown temporarily used the site as a fort, and the property was listed on the NRHP in 1971. The Battle of Mine Creek Site preserves the location of the Battle of Mine Creek, which was fought in 1864 as part of Price's Raid during the American Civil War. Confederate general Sterling Price's army was retreating after being defeated at the Battle of Westport and was attacked by pursuing Union troops. Price's Confederate lost heavily in men and supplies. The site was added to the NRHP in 1973.

The City Hall of Moscow, Idaho, formerly known as the Moscow Post Office and Courthouse and Moscow Federal Building, was built 112 years ago in 1911. Its red brick with ivory terracotta trim reflects Late Victorian and Eclectic architecture.
The Stutsman County Courthouse and Sheriff's Residence/Jail in Jamestown, North Dakota was built in 1883. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
The Bear Lake County Courthouse, located in Paris, is the county courthouse serving Bear Lake County, Idaho. Built in 1884–85, the building is one of Idaho's oldest county courthouses. Architect Truman O. Angell designed the building in the Italian Renaissance Revival style. The front entrance to the building has a two-story portico supported by Doric columns and topped by a pediment. A square cupola with bracketed pediments on each side tops the building's hipped roof.
The Pierce–Borah House is a historic building in Garden City, Idaho. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the house was among the earliest designed by prominent Idaho architect John E. Tourtellotte. It was completed in 1897 and originally located at 11th and Franklin Streets, in nearby Boise.
The Gem County Courthouse, located at the intersection of Main St. and McKinley Ave. in Emmett, is the county courthouse serving Gem County, Idaho. The courthouse was built in 1938 to give the small county a government building, as it had been without one since the previous courthouse burned in 1920. Architect Frank Hummel of Tourtellotte and Hummel designed the Art Deco building. The two-and-one-half story concrete building features a projecting three-story entrance with fluted columns and cross vents on either side of the doorway. Each side of the front facade features four sets of windows separated by fluted pilasters.
The Lemhi County Courthouse, located at 1st Street North and Broadway in Salmon, is the county courthouse of Lemhi County, Idaho. The courthouse was built in 1909–10. Architect W. W. Schultz designed the Classical Revival building, which features four Doric columns made from carved stone in the front and a dentillated cornice broken by a dormer above the entrance. The dormer is topped by a stone statue of Lady Justice made by George Oxham; the statue is the only public sculpture in Idaho which is located atop a courthouse.
