It is among the many cultural monuments located in the Pingyao,which is a UNESCO World Heritage site inscribed in 1997. The temple is protected by the state administration.

The House of the Huangcheng Chancellor,also known by its Chinese name,Huangcheng Xiangfu,is a 10-hectare (25-acre) walled estate on Phoenix Hill (Fenghuangshan) comprising Huangcheng,a village occupying a hollow above the Changhe Valley between Yangcheng and Jincheng in southeastern Shanxi,China. It is composed of numerous siheyuan-style courtyards built into the side of a hill,overlooked by defensive towers and enclosed by high crenellated walls that divide it into two sections. The fortifications were built in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries,during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.
Mount Mian,also known by its Chinese name Mianshan,is a mountain in the town of Mianshan in Jiexiu,Jinzhong,in central Shanxi Province in North China. Its official scenic area opened in the year 2000 and covers 75 km2 (29 sq mi),with about 400 attractions grouped into 14 tourist areas.
Shanxi architecture,or Shansi architecture,or Jin architecture,refers to the architectural style of the Shanxi province in northern China. Shanxi has preserved numerous ancient architectures scattered throughout the province. All of the four remaining wooden structures preserved from Tang dynasty in China are found in Shanxi. The old buildings of Pingyao ancient city and numerous family compounds of Shanxi merchants in the Ming and Qing dynasties are representative of the architecture styles of vernacular architecture in North China. Religious temples in Mount Wutai and Yungang Grottoes in Datong exemplify the sacred buddhist architecture in China.
