Premier High School of Midland is a charter school in Midland, Texas that serves students in ninth grade through twelfth grade. It is part of Responsive Education Solutions of Texas.

History

Premier High School of Midland opened in 1999 as Eagle Charter School with 50 students and three staff and, in 2000, had an enrollment of 150 students. In 2002, Eagle Charter School moved to a larger facility and changed its name to Eagle Academy of Midland. In 2007, it changed its name to Premier High School of Midland and added an Advanced Placement Program for the 2007-2008 school year. In 2007 Premier High School of Midland was noted in the local newspaper The Midland Reporter Telegram for its improvement in its TEKS test scores. In August 2010, the school relocated to a third and still larger facility on Big Spring St. which allowed it to increase its enrollment. For the 2013 school year, the campus moved to a new location on Illinois Drive.

The original Midland High School was built in 1926 and was moved twenty-three years later to a new building in 1949 where it currently sits today. In recent years, Midland High School has received major renovations including complete asbestos removal and new West Wing that houses science, math, and social studies classroom. Also, renovations to their large gym including new floors and new bleachers. The practice field of the Midland High football team Memorial Stadium has also received a new turf.

Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is a private community Jewish day school in Baltimore County, Maryland. It encompasses preschool through twelfth grade. The school has one campus in Pikesville. The campus includes the PreSchool, Lower School, Middle School, and the High School. Beth Tfiloh operated a second campus in Glyndon which was sold to Shepherd Pratt in 2007. A new 56,000-square-foot (5,200 m2) Lower School complex was constructed on the Old Court campus and was completed in January 2009. Hebrew school is also offered on the Old Court campus.

Urban Prep Academies is a nonprofit organization that operated three free open-enrollment public all-male college-preparatory high schools in Chicago. Founded in 2002, and receiving its first charter approval from Chicago Public Schools in 2005, it operates the first all-male public charter high school in the United States. The network opened a second campus in 2009 and a third in August 2010. From 2010 to 2019, 100% of the seniors in the school's graduating classes were admitted to four-year colleges or universities. In 2023 its charter was revoked over misconduct allegations and Chicago Public Schools moved to take over its campuses. The decision is controversial and is being contested in court.
