The Presbyterian Church of Mauritius emerged from the Church of Scotland's and the Independent church of Mauritius' discussion with the help of the Rev Jean Le Brun in 1814, they created a single congregation. [1] Now it consists of 4 French speaking and 1 English speaking congregations ( St. Columba in Phoenix). [2] These are the St. André in, St. Columba, St. Jean, St. Joseph and St. Pierre parishes throughout the island. The churches located in Rose Hill, Mauritius, Grand Gaube, Pointe-aux-Piments, Phoenix, Mauritius and Port Louis, Mauritius. [3] [4] [5] It has presbyterian church government with parish council, synodal council and Synod and subscribes the Westminster Confession of Faith. The Synod meets annually. Each parish choose its own elders. Baptism and Lords Supper is the recognised Sacraments. Total membership is approximately 800-900. [6]

It is a member of the World Communion of Reformed Churches. [7]

The Reformed Churches in the Netherlands (Liberated) are an orthodox Calvinist federation of churches. This church body arose in 1944 out of the so-called Liberation from the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands, when many pastors and members refused to go along with the General Synod's demand to hold to "presumed regeneration of infants" at their baptism. Klaas Schilder played an important role in the Liberation. There are currently 270 affiliated local congregations with a total of about 120,000 members in 2016.

The Presbyterian Church of Brazil is an Evangelical Protestant Christian denomination in Brazil. Oldest of the Reformed family of Protestantism in Brazil. It is the largest Presbyterian denomination in the country, having an estimate 649,510 members, 4,475 ordained ministers and 5,068 churches and parishes. It is also the only Presbyterian denomination in Brazil present in all 26 States and the Federal District. It was founded by the American missionary Rev. Ashbel Green Simonton, who also oversaw the formal organization of the first congregation and the first Presbytery. Although the Presbyterian Church of Rio de Janeiro was only formally organized in January 1863, and the Brazilian church only left the jurisdiction of the joint missions board of the American churches in 1888, when the Synod was formed, the denomination considers the date of Simonton's arrival in Brazil, August 12, 1859, as its foundation date.
