Prospect Park is a historic neighborhood within the University community of the U.S. city of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The area is bounded by the Mississippi River to the south, the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota to the east, the Burlington Northern railroad yard to the north, and the Stadium Village commercial district of the University of Minnesota to the west. The neighborhood is composed of several districts which include the East River Road area. The 1913 Prospect Park Water Tower is a landmark and neighborhood icon.
Prospect Heights is a neighborhood in the northwest of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The traditional boundaries are Flatbush Avenue to the west, Atlantic Avenue to the north, Eastern Parkway – beginning at Grand Army Plaza – to the south, and Washington Avenue to the east. In the northern section of Prospect Heights are the Vanderbilt Rail Yards, built over as part of the Pacific Park project. The Barclays Center, home to the NBA's Brooklyn Nets basketball team, is located in the northwestern corner of the neighborhood in Pacific Park at Flatbush and Atlantic Avenues.
Prospect Park South is a small neighborhood in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York City, located south of Prospect Park. It is included within the Prospect Park South Historic District, which was designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1979 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The historic district is bounded by Church Avenue to the north, the BMT Brighton Line of the New York City Subway to the east, Beverley Road to the south, and between Stratford Road and Coney Island Avenue to the west.

The traditional boundaries of Ditmas Park, including Ditmas Park West, are Ocean Avenue and greater Flatbush to the east, Dorchester Road and the Prospect Park South neighborhood to the north, Coney Island Avenue and the Kensington neighborhood to the west, and Newkirk Avenue to the south. The name Ditmas Park is often used a shorthand for the several neighborhoods that comprise the larger area of Victorian Flatbush.
The Center for Brooklyn History is a museum, library, and educational center founded in 1863 that preserves and encourages the study of Brooklyn's 400-year history. The center's Romanesque Revival building, located at Pierrepont and Clinton Streets in Brooklyn Heights, was designed by George B. Post and built in 1878-81, is a National Historic Landmark and part of New York City's Brooklyn Heights Historic District. The CBH houses materials relating to the history of Brooklyn and its people, and hosts exhibitions which draw over 9,000 members a year. In addition to general programming, the CBH serves over 70,000 public school students and teachers annually by providing exhibit tours, educational programs and curricula, and making its professional staff available for instruction and consultation.

The community is bounded by Empire Boulevard to the north, Clarkson Avenue to the south, New York Avenue to the east, and Ocean Avenue/Prospect Park to the west. The Grecian Shelter, designated a Croquet Shelter on the original plans of Prospect Park, is also referred to as the Prospect Park Peristyle or Peristyle. The building, a peristyle with Corinthian columns, is situated near the southern edge of Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York. Constructed by McKim, Mead and White in 1905, this peristyle was built on the site of the 1860s-era Promenade Drive Shelter along the southwest shore of the Prospect Park Lake. The Prospect Park Peristyle is designed in the Renaissance architectural style. It consists of a raised platform located two steps above ground level; the platform is covered by a rectangular colonnade with 28 Corinthian marble columns, each with square piers. An entablature of terracotta runs atop the structure. The building was constructed as a temporary refuge from rain and sun.

Public School 9 and Public School 9 Annex are two historic school buildings located at 227 and 279 Sterling Place, respectively, at Vanderbilt Avenue in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City.
The buildings at 375–379 Flatbush Avenue and 185–187 Sterling Place are a historic group of four commercial and residential buildings located in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. They were built in 1885 and are in the Neo-Grec style with Second Empire elements. The 377–379 Flatbush Avenue building is a 3.5-story masonry structure with a commercial ground floor, apartments above, and a distinctive corner tower with pyramidal roof. It features a mansard roof. The 375 Flatbush Avenue building is a commercial/residential structure identical in form to 377–379 Flatbush Avenue, but without a mansard roof. The 185–187 Sterling Place buildings are two single family row houses built as companions to the other buildings.

The 40-block district is almost exclusively residential and located adjacent to Prospect Park. It includes a variety of two and three story townhouses built in a variety of popular architectural styles of the late-19th and early 20th centuries. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Most are three and four story brick rowhouses set behind raised stone terraces. Prospect Historic District is a residential historic district in Pasadena, California, consisting of homes along Prospect Boulevard and several surrounding streets. The district includes 108 residences and roughly encompasses the Prospect Park and Arroyo Park Tracts, a pair of early Pasadena subdivisions. Development on the Prospect Park Tract began in 1904, and the first house was built there in 1906. The Arroyo Park Tract was first surveyed in 1910, and its development soon followed; the two tracts were linked by the Prospect Boulevard Bridge, which was built in 1908. The houses in the district represent a wide variety of architectural styles and include works by several prominent architects, such as Frank Lloyd Wright's Millard House, Charles and Henry Greene's Bentz House, and a 1909 mansion designed by Alfred and Arthur Heineman. The varied architecture of the district's homes is united by its landscaping, particularly through the camphor trees which line its streets.

The district encompasses 61 contributing buildings in an exclusively residential section of Rochester. The district developed between about 1920 and 1942, and includes residential buildings in a variety of architectural styles including Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman. The dwellings reflect modest designs directed toward a middle-class clientele in a newly developing area of Rochester's Nineteenth Ward.
