Psychobitches is a Sky Arts British sketch comedy show directed by Jeremy Dyson, in which famous women from history and fiction [1] seek help from a psychologist (played by Rebecca Front). [2]

Broadcast history

Psychobitches was originally aired as a one-off pilot in 2012, as part of the Sky Arts Playhouse Presents self-contained TV plays. The pilot was originally aired on 21 June 2012 as episode 11 of series one of Playhouse Presents and lasted 30 minutes. [3]

After the successful pilot, a five-part series was released in 2013 during series two of Playhouse Presents (episodes 7, 9, 11, 13 and 14). [4]

Following the success of the first series, a full six-episode series was commissioned by Sky Arts as its own entity and was aired from 25 November 2014 with a double bill. [5]

Each episode is written by a different writer and stars a different cast. The second series began airing in April 2013. A third season began airing 1 May 2014.

<i>Up the Women</i> British TV sitcom (BBC Four, 2013–15)

Up the Women is a BBC television sitcom created, written by and starring Jessica Hynes. It was first broadcast on BBC Four on 30 May 2013. The sitcom is about a group of women in 1910 who form a Women's Suffrage movement. Hynes originally planned to write a comedy film about a suffragette plot to assassinate H. H. Asquith, but after realising the plot had turned quite dark, she decided to write a sitcom instead. Christine Gernon directed the three-part series, which became the last sitcom to be filmed before a live audience at BBC Television Centre and the first to be commissioned for BBC Four. A second series was commissioned in June 2013 and aired on BBC Two from 21 January 2015. Up the Women was not renewed for a third series.

<i>Uncle</i> (British TV series) British television series

Uncle is a British sitcom written and directed by Oliver Refson and Lilah Vandenburgh. Originally broadcast between 2014 and 2017, it stars Nick Helm, Daisy Haggard, Elliot Speller-Gillott and Sydney Rae White, and features original songs by Helm.

Damned is a British television sitcom shown on Channel 4. It is set in the office of the children's services department of fictional Elm Heath Council.
