Rajesh Roshan Lal Nagrath (born 24 May 1955) is an Indian music director and composer. He is the son of music director Roshan and brother of director Rakesh Roshan.
Rajesh Roshan was born to a Punjabi father and Bengali mother, and has two children, a son, Eshaan Roshan, and a daughter, Pashmina Roshan. He is the son of film composer Roshan. He is the brother of Indian film producer and director Rakesh Roshan and uncle of actor Hrithik Roshan.
Rajesh Roshan had a successful collaboration with Kishore Kumar, Basu Chatterjee, Dev Anand, Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle. He shot to fame with the score for the 1974 film Kunwara Baap and the 1975 film Julie ; for the latter he won the Filmfare Best Music Director Award. [1]
Roshan scored for Kunwara Baap (1974) and then in three back-to-back hit films: Des Pardes , Man Pasand , and Lootmaar . He went on to compose melodious tunes and made Kishore Kumar sing them in films like Mama Bhanja , Doosra Aadmi , Muqaddar , Swami , Priyatama , Yehi Hai Zindagi , Ek Hi Raasta , Swarag Narak , Inkaar , Khatta Meetha , Baton Baton Mein , Do Aur Do Paanch , Kaamchor , Hamari Bahu Alka , Jaag Utha Insan , Bhagwaan Dada , Ghar Sansar followed by films with Rajesh Khanna like Janta Hawaldar , Nishaan , Babu and Aakhir Kyon? .
In the 1990s, he worked in albums like Karan Arjun (1995), Sabse Bada Khiladi (1995), Papa Kehte Hai (1996), Koyla (1997), Keemat – They Are Back, Daag: The Fire (1999), Dastak (1996), Kya Kehna (2000) and Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000).
Critics believe that several of his most popular songs are closely based on popular songs from other countries.
Rajesh Roshan has been the recipient of several prestigious awards for his contributions to Hindi cinema music. He has won multiple Filmfare Awards and other accolades for Best Music Director for films like "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai" and "Koi... Mil Gaya." [2] [3]

Koi... Mil Gaya is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language science fiction film directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan. It stars Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Rekha. In addition to writing the story, Rakesh Roshan also wrote the screenplay with Sachin Bhowmick, Honey Irani, and Robin Bhatt. Koi... Mil Gaya focuses on Rohit, a developmentally disabled man who contacts an extraterrestrial being with his late father Sanjay's computer. The film follows his relationship with Nisha (Zinta), Rohit's friend, who falls in love with him.

It marks the debut of his son Hrithik Roshan and fellow actress Ameesha Patel. Upon its release on 14 January 2000, the film along with Hrithik Roshan's debut act and the soundtrack album became an instant sensational blockbuster success. It earned over ₹800 million worldwide, becoming the second highest-grossing film of 2000.

Souten is a 1983 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Saawan Kumar Tak, starring Rajesh Khanna, Tina Munim, Padmini Kolhapure, Prem Chopra and Pran. It was written by Kamleshwar, with music by Usha Khanna. The song "Shayad Meri Shaadi" sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar became especially memorable. Khanna's chemistry with Munim also proved popular. The film was remade in Kannada as Krishna Nee Begane Baro and in Telugu as Tene Manasulu.
Kunwara Baap is a 1974 Hindi film produced by Amarlal Chabria and directed by and starring Mehmood. The film also stars Bharathi, and Vinod Mehra. Based on Charlie Chaplin's The Kid (1921), it is a film with a serious message about polio vaccination. However, Mehmood did some comedy scenes in the film to earn a Filmfare nomination as Best Comic, the only nomination for the film. Rajesh Roshan makes his debut as a film composer. The hijra song "Saj Rahi Gali" sung by Mohammed Rafi topped the annual Binaca Geet Mala, which was the only countdown show at the time. This film was Tamil actress Manorama's only film in Hindi, however, her lines consisted of some Tamil.

The film stars Ashok Kumar, Rakesh Roshan, Bindiya Goswami, Pearl Padamsee, Deven Verma, David Abraham Cheulkar, Ranjit Chowdhry, Preeti Ganguly, Pradeep Kumar and Iftekhar. The film's music is by Rajesh Roshan. At the 26th Filmfare Awards, Deven Verma was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Comic Role for the film, but won it for Chor Ke Ghar Chor. This was also the debut film of actor Ranjit Chowdhry, who later appeared in films like Basu Chatterjee's Baton Baton Mein (1979) and Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Khubsoorat (1980).
Amit Kumar is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. After Burman's death in 1994, citing a lack of quality music composition, Kumar withdrew from playback singing and concentrated on live orchestra shows. In addition to singing in Hindi, has also performed in Bengali, Bhojpuri, Odia, Assamese, Marathi and Konkani. He is the eldest son of singer-actor Kishore Kumar.

Vasu was the co-screen play writer of this movie. The story is based on a Kannada novel of the same name by Vidyullatha Sasanoor. Ratha Sapthami opened on 12 December 1986 and was declared a musical blockbuster.
