Ralston Public Schools

Ralston Public Schools (RPS, a.k.a. Douglas County School District 0054 [1] ) is a school district headquartered in Ralston, Nebraska. [2] It also serves southwestern sections of Omaha. [3]

As of 2019 the district has over 270 teachers with full-time status and about 3,400 students. [4]

History

Jerry Riibe became superintendent circa 2010. In 2013 he announced he was leaving the district, [5] and he became superintendent at the Muscatine Community School District in Iowa. [6]

The Millard Public Schools is a school district in the southwest part of Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The first school in Millard was established in the fall of 1870. The school district is named for Ezra Millard (1833-1886), who platted Millard, a mostly uninhabited prairie 12 miles southwest of the city. The former city of Millard was annexed by the City of Omaha in 1971 after a lengthy legal battle. Today the Millard School District has diverse programs such as Nebraska's only K-12 International Baccalaureate program, offered at Millard North High school, Millard North Middle School, Aldrich Elementary, and Black Elk Elementary. The district also offers the Core Academy and Montessori, as well as many other programs.

Ralston High School (RHS) is located in Ralston, a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The school, a part of Ralston Public Schools, opened in 1954, as a building for grades 7–12, located at 82nd and Lakeview Drive. It relocated to its current address on 8969 Park Drive in 1969. Prior to 1954, Ralston students went to Omaha South High School as Ralston Schools only had grades K-8. The former high school building was converted to the middle school.
