Last Comic Standing is an American reality television talent competition show on NBC that aired from June 1, 2003, to August 9, 2010, then again in 2014 and 2015. The goal of the program was to select a comedian from an initially large group of hopefuls. For the first seven seasons, the winner received a cash prize and a television special; for season eight in 2014, the winner won a cash prize, a talent deal with NBC, and a half-hour scripted project developed by Universal Television.

The season had been marred by a restriction imposed on 8TV against airing live telecasts, as a result of season one's runner-up Faizal Tahir breaching the decency code during 8TV's birthday concert on mid-January 2008. Nevertheless, the show went on and on 29 February 2008, in a Grand Finale which was aired delayed by 30 minutes from Shah Alam, Sabahan Norayu Damit became the overall champion and new owner of RM1,000,000 as funding for a musical career.

The series premiered on 17 September 2017 on Mandarin Chinese-language Singaporean channels StarHub TV and E City as well as on a Mandarin Chinese-Language Malaysian channel, Astro AEC. The show is hosted by Siow Hui Mei and Wong Hoon Hong, with William Tan and Weilong Liu serving as the V-Reporter. The coaches are Sky Wu, Della Ding, Hanjin Tan, and Gary Chaw. The winner of the first season was Lim Wen Suen, mentored by coach Gary Chaw, with receiving 62% of votes during the final showdown. The season finale aired on 17 December 2017.

The third season of Your Face Sounds Familiar was a singing and impersonation competition for celebrities based on the Spanish version of the same name. It first aired on February 20, 2021, on Kapamilya Channel and A2Z. Sharon Cuneta and Gary Valenciano reprised their roles as judges while Ogie Alcasid, a judge in the Kids seasons replaced Jed Madela as judge whom reprised his role as mentor in the second season of the Kids edition alongside Nyoy Volante. Due to prior commitments with blocktimer shows that are aired on TV5, Billy Crawford could not be the host of the third season. Because of this, Luis Manzano hosted the third season instead. This is also the first season to not air on ABS-CBN due to its shutdown and franchise denial in 2020, instead airing on the two aforementioned platforms and Kapamilya Online Live.
