Critical reception

Donald Gibson from Write on Music said the EP "commands attention and deserves an audience. Singing with extraordinary range and resilience, Corby steers between moments of serene, often melancholic introspection and ones of urgent, primal anguish." Gibson called out "Evangelist" as the "most invigorating song of the bunch". [3]

Matthew John Corby is an Australian singer-songwriter. He achieved his commercial breakthrough with his fourth EP, Into the Flame (2011), which peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Singles Chart, and by April 2012, was certified 6× Platinum by ARIA. His 2011 single "Brother" and his 2013 single "Resolution" both won ARIA Music Awards for Song of the Year. He is the 26th Australian male singer and the 100th Australian act to reach the number one position on the ARIA albums chart with his debut album Telluric (2016).

Parker McCollum American musician

Parker Yancey McCollum is an American Americana and country singer-songwriter based in Austin, Texas. The owner of PYM Music, he released his first single and EP in 2013, and his full-length debut album The Limestone Kid was released on February 24, 2015. The Austin Chronicle gave the release 3.5/5 stars, writing that "it's too early to declare The Limestone Kid debut of the year, but it's already one to beat," and comparing McCollum's music to that of Charlie Robison.
