Restless is the third studio album and commercial debut by American rapper Trae. [1] It was released on June 27, 2006, by G-Maab Entertainment, Rap-A-Lot Records and Asylum Records.
The album's ninth track, "The Truth", features a added guest verse from a fellow American rapper 2Pac, and 2Pac's verse on "The Truth" occurs to be the same verse that 2Pac originally recorded for the song, "Dumpin'", from which was taken from 2Pac's posthumously-released studio album, Pac's Life (2006).

G-funk, short for gangsta funk, is a sub-genre of gangsta rap that emerged from the West Coast scene in the early 1990s. The genre was heavily influenced by the synthesizer-heavy 1970s funk sound of Parliament-Funkadelic, often incorporated through samples or re-recordings. It was represented by commercially successful albums such as Dr. Dre's The Chronic (1992) and Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle (1993).

"California Love" is a song by American rapper 2Pac featuring fellow American rapper-producer Dr. Dre and American singer Roger Troutman of the funk group Zapp. The song was released as 2Pac's comeback single after his release from prison in 1995 and was his first single as the newest artist of Death Row Records. The original version is featured on the UK version of his fourth album, All Eyez on Me (1996), and is one of 2Pac's most widely known and most successful singles. Thug Life, Volume I is the only studio album by the American hip-hop group Thug Life. "I Get Around" is a song by American rapper 2Pac from his second studio album, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z... (1993). It was produced by Shock G, who produced it under the alias, The D-Flow Production Squad. AllMusic notes that in the song, Shakur "brags about his sexual conquests". Sons of the P is the second studio album by American hip hop group Digital Underground. It was released on October 15, 1991 via Tommy Boy Records. Main recording sessions took place at Starlight Sound in Richmond, with additional recordings done at Unique Recording Studios in New York, Axiom Recorders in Tampa and The Disc Ltd. in Detroit. Pimpalation is the second studio album by American rapper Pimp C from UGK. It was released on July 11, 2006, by Rap-A-Lot, Asylum, and Atlantic Records, making it the rapper's last solo album to be released during his lifetime. Recording sessions took place at Dean's List House of Hits, at M.A.D. Studios and Studio 7303 in Houston and at PatchWerk Recording Studios in Atlanta. Production was handled by several record producers, including Mr. Lee, Mike Dean, Jazze Pha and Mannie Fresh. The chopped and screwed version of the album was mixed by DJ Michael "5000" Watts. Prince Entertainment with distribution via Asylum Records. Recording sessions took place at Dean's List House Of Hits in New York City, at Noddfactor Studios in Denton, and at M.A.D. Same Thing Different Day is the second studio album by American rapper Trae. It was released on July 6, 2004, by Trae's independently-owned record label, G-Maab Entertainment. The album was re-packaged into four discs with the first disc being the original release of the album, but also includes tracks in the first-half from its album's original release onto the second disc and each tracks in the second-half from its album's original release onto the third disc being chopped and screwed; as well as the fourth disc being a DVD.

"Runnin'" is a 1995 song written and performed by rappers 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Stretch, Dramacydal and reggae superstar Buju Banton.
