Rhostyllen Football Club is a Welsh football club from Rhostyllen in Wrexham County Borough. The club was founded in 2015 and they currently play in the North East Wales Football League Premier Division, which is at tier four of the Welsh football pyramid.
The first football club in Rhostyllen dates back to 1879 and existed until 1881. The Club then reformed as Rhostyllen Victoria in 1881 [1] and contested the Welsh Cup. On 15 April 1889 during a match between Wales and Scotland at The Racecourse, Wrexham, Alf Pugh, a Rhostyllen Victoria player, became the first ever player to be substituted in international football. [2]
The current incarnation were formed in 2015, and began playing in the 2015–16 season in the North East Wales League, a competition which it won. [3]
The following season, the team achieved second consecutive promotion when it finished second in the Welsh National League Division One. [4]

Cefn Druids Association Football Club is an inactive association football team based in the village of Cefn Mawr, Wrexham. The club played in the Cymru North after being relegated from the Cymru Premier in 2021–22 but withdrew ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Mold Alexandra Football Club is a football club based in Mold in Wales. The club was founded in 1929 and played in local amateur leagues before joining the Welsh National League after the Second World War. The team enjoyed success in the 1980s and became a founder member of the League of Wales in 1992. FC Nomads of Connah's Quay, also known as FC Nomads, is an association football club in Connah's Quay Flintshire, Wales. It was founded in 2009 when, during the 2008–09 season, stories started to circulate that Connah's Quay may lose its football team for the first time since 1890, and that they might merge with local rivals Flint. A group of long time supporters and local football experts set out to preserve football in Connah's Quay. In July 2019 the club announced that they had withdrawn from the league but had not folded.
