Riccardo Scalet is an Italian orienteering competitor [1] and medalist in the Junior World Championships. [2] He now lives in Transacqua.

In 2021, Scalet became one of the first Italian orienteers to receive a medal in a World Cup event. In the World Cup Finals, held in Cansiglio in northern Italy, Scalet came third behind Kasper Harlem Fosser and Matthias Kyburz. [3]

Liisa Peltola is a Finnish orienteering competitor. She won the 1976 Individual World Orienteering Championships, and took silver medal 1978 and 1979. She is also three times Relay World Champion, as a member of the Finnish winning team 1972, 1978 and 1979.

Brit Volden is a Norwegian orienteering competitor. She won the 1987 Relay World Championship, as well as a silver medal in 1979. She also obtained silver medals in the Individual World Championships in 1981 and 1985. She won the overall World Cup in 1983, and finished second in 1984 and 1988.

Magne Dæhli is a Norwegian orienteering competitor, ski-orienteer, and cross-country skier. His achievements include five medals in the relay at the World Orienteering Championships, of which three are gold medals. His best individual performances include a silver medal in the long distance from the European Orienteering Championships, and a bronze medal in the middle distance from the 2019 World Orienteering Championships.

The Orienteering World Cup is a series of orienteering competitions organized annually by the International Orienteering Federation. Two unofficial cups were organized in 1983 and 1984. The official World Cup was held first in 1986, and then every second year up to 2004. From 2004 the World Cup has been held annually.

David Brickhill-Jones is a British orienteer. He was on the British Orienteering Federation's Senior squad in 2008. His best performance was at a 2005 World Cup sprint race, where he achieved a silver medal. At the European Orienteering Championships in 2002 he came fourth in the Sprint race. He reached a career-high ranking of 30th place on the International Orienteering Federation rankings. He is currently part of the British Orienteering squad, which is run by the British Orienteering Federation. He runs for Halden SK in Norway and Interlopers in the UK.

Judith Wyder is a Swiss orienteering and ski orienteering competitor and runner.

The 2014 Orienteering World Cup was the 20th edition of the Orienteering World Cup. The 2014 Orienteering World Cup consisted of 14 events, all individual competitions. The events were located in Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Finland, Italy and Switzerland. The 2014 European Orienteering Championships in Palmela, Portugal and the 2014 World Orienteering Championships in Venezia and Trentino, Italy were included in the World Cup.
