Arts

The Richard Challoner Studio Theatre was officially opened by the Hungarian Ambassador in 2008. [15] Various productions were first performed there, including Oliver, [16] The Government Inspector, Antigone, Robin Hood, Sherlock Holmes: And the Pearls of Death, Chaplin: The Early Years and Romeo and Juliet, and then performed, on tour, in various theatres in Hungary, such as the Kolibri Theatre in Budapest. [17] Many of the plays are written by drama teacher Mr. Neil Zoladkiewicz, who retired at the end of the 2016–17 school year. [18] [19]

The school also performs musicals. The most recent was A Slice Of Saturday Night in 2017, [20] with the previous performance of Grease Lightning [21] having happened in partnership with Willson Academy of Performing Arts in 2016.

Richard Ian Porterfield Short is an English actor based in Los Angeles. He is starring in the 2017 TV drama series Mary Kills People. In 2017 he appeared in the independent film The Dare and in 2016 Crazy Famous. On television he has had recurring roles on Vinyl and Covert Affairs and has appeared on American Horror Story, White Collar, and Blue Bloods. Short has appeared in more than 30 films and television shows in the US and UK. On Broadway, he was a member of the 2011 company of Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem at the Music Box Theatre.

The Meridian School was a secondary school and sixth form located in Royston, Hertfordshire, England. It was an academy, and had approximately 474 registered students, including 80 in the sixth form before closure. The school featured an all-weather pitch which was used by the school, the community and the local football team. The Pavilion provided indoor changing facilities and access to the tennis courts.
