Richard William "Dick" Taylor (born January 23, 1938) [1] was an American cross-country skier who competed from 1955 to 1965. He competed in the 1964 Winter Olympics. [2] Taylor was born in Gardner, Massachusetts. [1]

Richard William Roth is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and former world record-holder in two events. He swam in the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, where he won the gold medal for his first-place finish in the men's 400-meter individual medley, setting a new world record of 4:45.4 in the event final. Shortly before the individual medley final, Roth suffered an appendicitis, but refused an immediate operation. He insisted the surgeons delay to allow him to swim in the final, and won the gold medal as a result.

Eight years later he finished ninth with his partner Larry Hough in the coxless pair competition.

Individually, he placed sixth in the 100 m freestyle with a time of 54.5 seconds.

Linda Joan Metheny-Mulvihill is a retired American artistic gymnast. She won seven gold, three silver and one bronze medal at the Pan American Games in 1967 and 1971, and served as the flag bearer for the American team in 1971. She competed at the 1964, 1968 and 1972 Olympics with the best individual result of fourth place on the balance beam in 1968, becoming the first American gymnast to qualify to an Olympic event final.
